Dec 6!! My new kids will be home!! After 9 months and 9 days I will "give birth" to the 4 children of my heart!

Carrie asked the ages of all my children including our newest...

I have

T - 13 yo girl
J - 11 yo boy
K - 11 yo girl
L - 7 yo girl
ND - 7 yo boy
M - 6 yo boy
T - 5 yo boy
G - 4 year old boy

I will be a super busy exceedingly happy mama!!

I spoke with our TX Social worker this morning...

They are coming!!

They should be here within a day or so of our 9 months of waiting from the date of us being the chosen adoptive family.

WOOHOO!!!

So we should grow from 6 to 10 somewhere around the 29th.

More hoops... more paperwork...

We hand delievered our physicals to the ICPC office today.

I had set up the physicals for Nov 8th a couple of weeks ago.

This is supposed to be our last hoop before TX gets the ok to send the children.

I am praying...But no longer holding my breath...I dislike looking like a smurf....

My grandparents celebrated 65 years togeather....

Their anniversay is actually around Thanksgiving but as we will not all be togeather for that holiday we celebrated this weekend past. 65 years is amazing now a days.

I can only hope and pray we can see them celebrate 70. They are both in fair health, but are walking on their own and even drive 3 hours so that we could all meet centrally! WOW!!

As of 1 week ago KS ICPC "should" have recieved our homestudy in triplicate. Now we await their approval and then they will contact TX. At that point the children's SWer will be given the ok to get our kids home.

We are now at 8 months 10 days past us being choosen as the adoptive family.

We have gotten our paperwork off to our SWer... it is all in God's hands now.

Prayerfully our SWer can get it to ICPC this next week and that she can get it to TX.

Well now... here is a little boy issue I've never had to deal with!

G (my 4 yo boy) was in the upstairs bathroom because he had been upstairs with T (13 yo girl). I guess she left her room and told him she was coming downstairs. He wigged out I heard him screaming so up I went. I didn't know she was downstairs her having come down the back steps while I went up the front. He was on the toilet and had "went" and needed wiped. I did the deed and we both came downstairs. As we were coming down G informed me he had swallowed the rare piece of gum - actually a half stick.

About 30 minutes later G told me that he dropped his gum in his low stomach. I kinda asked huh...He wandered off...

He came back and insisted he dropped his gum. I asked where he dropped it. He informed it was in his pants and motioned to his pocket. So I searched his pocket. Nope - no gum. He again insisted he dropped his gum. So I then checked INSIDE his pants...Nope still no gum. Again HE INSISTS he dropped his gum.

Now let me tell you - I believe the gum dropped while he was hollering his head off on the toilet....so now can you GUESS just where that gum was??!! And let me tell you it was STUCK to MANY parts

God really thought I need 5 boys And as they say the FUN has JUST begun

I rushed around our dear capital city today.

I got news yesterday that I needed to get background checks on my 11 and 13 year old children...Ummmm...OK?!?!

I reached our social services office shortly before noon. They got me in and we not acting if this could be done today. I guess I kinda lost it - I cried and told how these papers were the only thing between my children coming home and them not being with me for Christmas - these can take between 2 and 6 weeks and I want my children home yesterday! I would guess the lady must have felt sorry for me. I had my paperwork in 15 minutes....

KBI was another story - They could take my papers, do them today, but couldn't give them back to me to give our SWer. They have to send them out to our SWer, your tax dollars hard at work! I could have saved us almost 40 cents Anywooo.... They were going to try and get it out in the 2 pm mail If it went out our SWer will get it tomorrow. We could - MAYBE - get our paperwork out to TX by next week.....

10...9....8...And we have liftoff...

The paperwork is moving - although slowly. We are now waiting for our SWer to complete our homestudy. He was here on Tuesday. So we wait....

IF and that is a mighty huge IF we can get all paperwork completed by Nov. 8th then get it to TX within a day - My kids "Could" be here the weekend before Thanksgiving.

However the TX SWer feels it will be the beginning of Dec. That is almost 2 more months....
