During the air-raid, when Edmund runs back for the picture frame:
Peter: Edmund, get down!
Subtitle: Dermond, crouch down!

At the train stop:
Peter: Mrs. Macready?
Subtitle: Mrs. McGredy?

At the professor's house:
Lucy: The sheets feel scratchy.
Subtitle: The sheets are hard.

Susan: (to Edmund) Isn't it time you were in bed?
Subtitle: Go to sleep, Dermond!

Before hide and seek:
Edmund: ...Is it Latin for the worst game ever invented?
Subtitle: Yes it's Latin it means biggest worst (??) ever invented.

Meeting Tumnus:
Tumnus: Spare Oom? Is that in Narnia?
Subtitle: Wait, a room? That's Tarmania?
(Narnia is referred as 'Mania' in that scene)

Tumnus: My is Tumnus.
Subtitle: I'm Tomnus.

Lucy: I'm Lucy Pevensie.
Subtitle: I'm Lucy Pebets.

Tumnus: How would it be if you came and had tea with me?
Subtitle: How would it be if I asked you out to dinner?

When Lucy is going back:
Tumnus: You've made me feel warmer than I've felt in 100 years.
Subtitle: I haven't been this happy in 100 years.

When Edmund meets the Witch:
Edmund: Can you make me taller?
Subtitle: Can you make me grow?

White Witch: You are exactly the sort of boy that I could see one day becoming prince of Narnia.
Subtitle: You are so handsome that I'd like to name you Prince of Narnia!
(Tumnus is referred to as 'Domnus' in that scene)

When Lucy sees Edmund:
Edmund: How do we get out of here?
Subtitle: Hey, where's the exit?

At the Beaver's house:
Susan: (after the Son of Adam/Daughter of Eve poem) You know, that doesn't really rhyme.
Subtitle: Hey Mr. that doesn't rhyme.

About to run away from the wolves:
Susan: Do you think we'll need jam?
Subtitle: Take this too!

Peter: Only if the Witch serves toast!
Subtitle: Only if she offers us cookies!

When they see Fox:
Mr. Beaver: Well you look an awful lot like one of the bad ones.
Subtitle: Yeah well you're so ugly that you look like one of the bad ones.

Fox: They were helping Tumnus.
Subtitle: They were helping everyone.

Helping the hurt Fox:
Fox: I wish I could say their bark is worse than their bite...
Subtitle: They bark alot more than they bite.

Mrs. Beaver: You're worse than Beaver on bath day!
Subtitle: You're worse than my husband when he bathes.

Fox: We can't go to war without you.
Subtitle: You're absolutely necessary in this war.

Peter: We just want our brother back.
Subtitle: I just want my brother to come back.

At the White Witch's castle:
Edmund: I wanted to see you!
Subtitle: I wanted to be with you!

Walking in the snow:
Mr. Beaver: C'mon humans, while we're still young!
Subtitle: C'mon humans, I'm getting old!

Lucy: He is getting a little bossy.
Subtitle: He likes being so bossy.

When they meet Father Christmas:
Father Christmas: (after Lucy says she thinks she could be brave enough to fight) I'm sure you could. Battles are ugly affairs.
Subtitle: I bet you can, battles are repulsive.

Crossing the river:
Mrs. Beaver: You've been sneaking second helping, haven't you?
Subtitle: I warned you not to eat all those desserts!

Arriving at the camp:
Susan: Why is everyone staring at us?
Subtitle: Why are they looking at us like that?

Lucy: Maybe they think you look funny.
Subtitle: Maybe because you're so ugly.

By the stream:
Lucy: (about their dresses) We should take some back (to their mom). A whole trunkful!
Subtitle: We'll take some back to her. Some pretty ones.

After Peter fights Maugrim:
Aslan: Sir Peter Wolfsbane.
Subtitle: Sir Peter, the Terror of the Wolves.

After Edmund comes back:
Peter: ...Try not to wander off.
Subtitle: Don't go away anymore.

Eating:
Lucy: Narnia's not going to run out of toast, Ed.
Subtitle: Leave some food for the rest of Narnia!

Before the battle:
Peter: (after telling the others they should go back) It doesn't mean I can't stay behind and help.
Subtitle: You know, I better stay behind and help.

Edmund: We can't leave these people behind to suffer for it.
Subtitle: We can't leave them to suffer because of me.

After Aslan's meeting with the Witch:
Aslan: She has renounced her claim on the Son of Adam's blood.
Subtitle: She has renounced Adam's sacrifice forever.

At the Stone Table:
White Witch: With that knowledge...despair...and die.
Subtitle: They're waiting for you, die!

Afterwards:
Lucy: We can't just leave him! (meaning Aslan)
Subtitle: I don't want to abandon him!

Susan: He's gone.
Subtitle: He dead, ok?

As the battle unfolds...
White Witch: I have no interest in prisoners. Kill them all.
Subtitle: I don't really want prisoners this time, so you can kill them all.

Aslan returns...
Lucy: We have to help them!
Subtitle: He have to go to war too!

Aslan: Get on my back...
Subtitle: Sit on my neck...

At the Witch's castle...
Aslan: We must hurry and search the castle.
Subtitle: C'mon we have to register the castle.

After Edmund is healed...
Peter: When are you going to learn to do as you're told?
Subtitle: How come you never do anything I say?

Coronation...
Aslan: I give you King Peter, the Magnificent.
Subtitle: I give the you the Good Peter, Magnificent.

After coronation...
Tumnus: After all, he's not a tame lion.
Subtitle: He's not domesticated, you know.

Lucy: No, but he is good.
Subtitle: No, but I like him anyway.

Back at the Professor's...
Professor: (after Peter says he wouldn't believe them) Try me.
Subtitle: We'll see about that!

Well I have a new template now!! Yah!! Thanks very much to Narnia girl! ( sorry my links are not working but she is on my friends list) She did a great job! Sorry I didn't post at all over the summer. Gnomes

Ok, a short post. The Narnian(s) of the month are... Earthmen also know as Gnomes.They are really not from Nanria but from bism which is a land under narnia. Earthmen lived in service to the lady of the Green Kirtle for many years under a spell, being made to dig up to narnia. Under the spell of the evil queen the Earthmen were very solemn, until ( **spoilers**) the Queen was killed and the enchantment was lifted. then they were back to there true self, happy and joyously celebrating there returning to Bism. Hope you enjoyed the very short post! Happy 4 of july! Grace

June:
Narnian of the month: Creature, Elephant.

Some of you may know that I like elephants. I started collecting them a few years ago.
My collection has gotten big. I now have about 43 elephants. My collection includes a bank, many figurines, stuffed animals, pictures, pillows, clothing, and I even have one made out of hay. As well as having a collection elephants I also study them (as much as I be able to).

In the Magicians Nephew, in chapter 9 the founding of Narnia elephants are created

“ But the greatest moment of al was when the biggest hump broke like a small earthquake and out came the sloping back, the Large, wise head and the four baggy treasured legs of and elephant.”

The first Elephant is present at the First Council of Narnia, and his wife vainly takes great pride in the length of her trunk

An elephant is a placental mammal, which means it has live babies. (As apposed to laying eggs) the name for a baby elephant is calf. The name for a mother elephant is cow. The father is called a bull.

Each year an elephant eats approximately 1,600 loaves of bread, 100,000 pounds of hay, 12,000 pounds of alfalfa, 15,00 gallons of mixed grains, 2,000 potatoes, and for a “treat” 3,000 fruits and vegetables. They also drink 15,500 gallons of water. Elephants actually eat twice the amount of food they need.

All elephants are very good swimmers in spite of the size of their bodies, they use their trunks to breathe under water like a snorkel sticking out of the water.

All elephants have their “name” carved on the lower part of their leg. This is how they identify each other, kind of like a human fingerprint.

The time that an elephant lives depends on it’s teeth because all elephants have 6 sets of teeth. They wear out from the food that an elephant eats and the last set is usually worn out when an elephant is about 60 years old. When the last set of teeth wears out the elephant can no longer chew and therefore dies of starvation. This is usually how an elephant naturally dies.

Maybe you’ve heard that elephants are afraid of mice. The size of an elephant protects it from its predators. Not even a lion or tiger would want to attack a full-grown elephant. Therefore, elephants are most definitely not afraid of mice. Although if one saw Reepicheep I’m sure there would be exceptions, Reepicheep can kill with looks.

An elephant’s tail has only a few hairs at the end, but it makes a perfect fly swatter.

All thought elephants in Narnia are never mentioned fighting I am sure that some fought in between the books. In are world they fought in many places, China, Sri Lanka, Burma (now Myanmar) and Thailand all use elephants in all their wars. In the middle ages and before, although in 1987 Iraq used them to transport heavy weaponry.

•    A cow (Female Elephant) usual has only 1 calf ( Baby Elephant)and sometimes twins.
•    It takes 20-24 months to have a baby.
•    An elephant’s trunk has over 100,000 muscle units in it.
•    Elephant trunks can get very heavy. Sometimes you can see elephants resting them over a tusk!
•    Elephants cry, play, have incredible memories, and laugh!
•    Elephants don't drink with their trunks, but use them as "tools" to drink with. Filling the trunk with water and then using it as a hose to pour it into the elephant’s mouth accomplish this.

I'v seen the movie!

**~~Warning: some spoilers follow. Do not read until you have seen the movie! ~~**

I have seen Prince Caspian and… I loved it!
My brother and I went in costume, which was really fun!
Siah looked so cute! I can't do any pictures right now, sorry but will soon.

Speaking of the costumes…I loved them all! Lucy’s dress at the end (Green, pink, gold, & white.) was gorgeous as was Susan’s. (If only a bit more modest)

Characters were very well done. Reepicheep was so great I loved him! He looked and sounded very much like how I wanted him to! Very valiant and at times very funny, and I must say I thought he was very cute too. Trumpkin was good, he looked great, but he was not quite as I had imagined him. Peter made me a bit mad at times but in the end he turned around. Susan was herself. I think they did pretty well with her character as far as her not really believing in Narnia later. Edmund was great, my favorite, he always was supporting Peter and was definitely a better big brother than in LWW.And Lucy! I love Lucy! :) Her faith in Aslan and graciousness towards Peter and Susan is a good example. The way she apologized to Aslan was so sincere, she wasn't trying to justify her choice at all but simply said she was sorry. Lucy is the best, I just hope she stays the same for VOTDT. Ben Barnes did a good job with Caspian I must say, although he was not as young as I would have liked. Miraz was very much evil! I loved how much I disliked him! I have never really be able to take him seriously before because in the dramatized version he doesn’t sound evil just *misunderstood* which is all wrong! Dr. C was hardly in it but I liked him. Queen Prunaprismia was a good character but I agree with Narniagirl she should have had red hair! Oh well I liked what they did with her. And Aslan.... bigger but better? There was this whole anticipation for him to come and when he did it was so exiting I had shivers going down my back!
He was only in it for about 15-20 minutes about 5 of which was a *dream*, but when he was there I loved him! He looked so lovingly at Lucy, with his big beautiful eyes!

Now for some down sides. Caspian & Susan kiss which was not as bad as it could have been, at least he did not go and kiss her she went back to him, but it was still not right! I mean to Caspian, Queen Susan the gentle, is a story that his nurse would tell him when he was little! I had my hand on my forehead as soon as Susan turned back. (Which made my sister laugh at me) The rivalry between Peter & Caspian was not that bad.

The music was great! I loved the song at the end The Call (in fact my mom is singing it right now!) and I loved how they played the song The Wardrobe (from LWW) at the part when Lucy finds Aslan! That was so cool!

Lots of different things from the book but I loved it!
I would encourage any one to go see it!
Did I like it better than LWW? I would have to say yes!
I would give it 4 1/2 out of 5, as would my family.

Lucys Rust-Red Dress #6

Well we are Finished with the dress al together it took about 15 Hours.
we finished Tuesday.

My Gramma and I answered some questions in order to wrap up our thoughts of this project.

What was the hardest part?:
Getting the fitting right, and covering the buttons.

What problems did you have?:
We ripped some fabric on the under skirt.

What would you do different next time?:
We would not do a zipper, instead we would not do the button holes on the back for the lace up.
All in all it was a good project, and it was fun to work together with different ideas bringing together the finished dress.

What was the best part?:
Working together on a project as we only see each other for 2 weeks once a year.

What was the easiest part?:
The hems.

What are some things that you learned from your Gramma?:
I learned what a tailors tack was, also what a bias was, how to cover buttons, how to gather, how to hem, and some other stuff.

Would you do this again?:
Yep, we just wouldn't make it any harder.

I started drawing the flowers on the dress.
I am drawing them Free hand (I have a print out that I look at and copy.) with a silver scrap booking marker, and a silver pen.
I have finished the back and the sides on the back, 58 flowers, in 2 hours. (Oh that rhymes!)
