<title>Well...</title>
<description>Hi,
The computer that I use won't work for more then a few minutes at a time...
I went to a ice cream party with the home school group today and had a lot of fun and ate a lot of ice cream.
The house that we had it at has good climbing trees. And a swing with 1 rope that makes big circles.
Please pray for me,I have to go to the dentist on the eleventh.
If I don't get right back to your comments and private messages it is because of my computer and I will get back as soon as possible.

<title>Hi</title>
<description>Hi,
We have a tradition in our family&amp;nbsp;that the person who's birthday it is bakes his or her own cake.&amp;nbsp;
We had the grandparents over for&amp;nbsp;my birthday and&amp;nbsp;I made &quot;Hummingbird Cake&quot;.&amp;nbsp; Rather than frosting, we made homemade vanilla pudding from the same book and layered it between the three layers and on top - it was really good, though we were all too full to really enjoy it.
Recipe coming up......
Okay, many days later.... here it is:
Hummingbird Cake

3 cups cake flour (i used white)
2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
3 eggs beaten
2 cups chopped bananas
1 1/2 cups salad oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple undrained
2 cups chopped pecans, divided&amp;nbsp; (i used toasted almonds)

Combine dry ingredients.&amp;nbsp; Add eggs and oil, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.&amp;nbsp; Do not beat.&amp;nbsp; Stir in vanilla, pineapple, bananas and 1 cup nuts.&amp;nbsp; Spoon batter into three well greased and floured 9 inch pans.&amp;nbsp; Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.&amp;nbsp; Cool in pans for 10 mins, remove and cool completely.&amp;nbsp; Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides.&amp;nbsp; Sprinkles with the remainder of nuts.

We used homemade Vanilla Pudding instead of frosting:

Vanilla Pudding (Pie Filling)

1 cup granulated sugar
4 1\2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
3 egg yolks slightly beaten
1 tbls butter, melted
2 tsp vanilla extract

Cook in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.

That's it...
Kiera
