Razzberry Lemonade - Homeschool Blogger

I'm homeschooled, a Christian, and an all-around country girl. I love anything to do with bunnies, horses, and chickens. (And writing and swimming and reading and animals... well, you get the point.) And I love raspberry lemonade!

I'm Thankful That I'm Not a Turkey...

Yes, I too have noticed my irregular blogging pattern. I've been really busy and my blogging has suffered. But I'm still here! I swear! I do blog... occasionally. Anyways, is it really Thanksgiving already? Wow. We've been painting all week getting ready for relatives, and my youth group had a Thanksgiving party. It was so fun! We played hide-and-go-seek in the dark in my youth pastors yard and capture the flag and watched the Reluctant Astronaut. And, of course, there was an excellent Thanksgiving message. What's everyone else doing for Thanksgiving?

...Surprise?

Yes, yes I know that I completely blew by my poor blogs one year anniversary, and yes I know that it's several months later and YES I know that my template is completely different. There's a really good reason for all of that. Really. There is. ...Ok, so maybe, possibly I forgot my one year blog anniversary. Or maybe I didn't and this is a surprise party for my blog! (Well, it sounded good while I was thinking of it.) But there is a perfectly good reason for my new template. In honor of my blog's one year anniversary, I am possibly changing the template. There will be a new one every day for the next week. Vote for your favorite! Alright, I have to go light the candles on the cake... I'm just kidding!

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER

Hi everybody! How's your summer going? (Oh, yeah, sorry I haven't blogged in a bit...) My brother is at camp this week, and I'm going to camp next week! Yea! Last week we had VBS at church, and it was great. I was the team captain for my team. We lost. But, we were still the best team! And we just got a pool! HURRAY! Now, if it gets too hot, I can just go outside and swim. I just made a skirt on my sewing machine. Yea! It looks beautiful, if I do say so myself. Haha. Oh! I almost forgot. In a few days, I'm starting a modesty club. And here's why. I like to dress modestly, but everyone knows how hard it is to find modest clothes. So I checked out a website that sells modest clothing. The clothes were modest and cute and I was soooo happy! Until I looked at the prices. Yikes. I am not going to spend over $100 on one outfit! No way! So I am on the hunt to find modest affordable clothing. Feel free to join my modesty club! All you have to do is post a comment saying 'I join!' or something to that effect. I will be posting pictures of modest affordable clothing that I find. If you become a member of my modesty club, you can send pictures to me that I will post. Alright, I better go. Bye!

Like a Speeding Train...

Aha! A title that actually caught your attention! At this moment, I'm clapping myself on the back. And yes, the title has a point... summer. Okay, so it's not coming as fast as a speeding train... but it's coming. June is only a month away and I have big plans! First of all, school will be out, (not that I don't love school but it will be nice to have a break before plunging into next year. ) Second, SUMMER CAMP! I will be going to sleep-away camp this year for a WEEK! (Well I have done it before, but not in a while!) And, of course, I will be helping out at a local VBS. (Vacation Bible School) So, what is everybody elses plans? (Feel free to brag about that trip to Japan or DisneyWorld.) See ya later!

Baby Bunnies!

Recently we just won two bunnies... they were both pregnant! (Of course we didn't know that when we got them...) The first one miscarried but the second's litter is still alive! They are so cute! Unfortunately we have no experience with baby rabbits, we have done a lot of research but if anyone has some helpful tips that would be great!

Chicken Madness

Hi everyone! We just got another chick for a total of 7. They are about 2 weeks old, so we can't tell which ones are roosters and which ones are hens. They are so cute! We got them for laying, not for eating. We have 4 buff brahmas and 3 black jersey giants. Here is a picture of a buff brahma chick:

Awwwwwww! And here's a picture of a buff brahma bantam hen: (Try saying that ten times fast!)

We didn't get bantams but they look pretty much the same. Here's the buff brahma rooster:

Handsome fella! Alrighty here's the black jersey giant chick:

Those aren't actually our chicks, I found that pic on the web. Here's the black jersey giant hen:

And here's the black jersey giant rooster:

They are so fun to watch! They run around and when you pick them up they try to fly! They are cutie pies. Chickens are so fun.
