Scattered Rose petals - Homeschool Blogger

Umm, lets see, I hope to become a writer. I loooove music, most of all Josh Groban. I love drawing various things. Mostly I draw people. I also love reading and doing things with my youth group. I'm convinced I should have been born in the "Jane Austen Era" Pride and Prejudice is the best book in the world, and roses just may be the best flower. To put it short I am a 15 year-old Christian girl who seeks to bring a little more light to this world.

Hopefully

Goodness gracious me! I haven't written in a long time. I feel rather ashamed of myself. I suppose I'll just say that I've been busy, although everyone says that. This Thanksgiving my family was really dissapointed that the stores basically skipped over the holiday. Fall and thanksgiving is my favorite time of year, and I was really upset they stepped over it.
This year I've really been pushed full force into my school work. Last year I kinda dilly dallied, but there is no time for that now. Next year, I'm going to do Dual Inrollment and start taking college classes. Get some of those silly little classes that are basically repeating high school. I'm scared out of my mind! I've never done anything like that before, but it gives me more time to ponder what I really want my major to be.
I'm got a real keening to redo this blog, so we'll see what happens in a couple of days. Maybe this will get me to start blogging again hopefully, but all I can do is wait and see how my schedule plays out.

Emo love blown and salamander eggs

I've just deleted my other blog about Emo love. I've finally found the answers I need, and I don't really want to dwell on something like that anymore. Nothing wrong with it but I'm happier with this blog. I always become more consentrated on this blog and always forget about that one.
I had the funnest time today. I measured frog and salamander eggs. I've never really done anything like that before and I have to say that I'm not really interested in it, but it was fun. Even though it was my first I got appointed Captian of a small group towards the end. I was really shocked, because around all the other kids I felt extremely dumb. This one kid a year younger than me (although he looked 16) was like on the top of it all and I felt really stupid, because he obviously was a wiz. Later on when we were almost done my foot (just to let you know, we were in the water in boots) sunk in a hole and I fell flat on my butt. It was annoying to be so wet, but it was funny. The three guys standing around me were looking down at me as if to say, "What the heck are you doing down there?" I laughed at the expression on their faces. It wasn't to bad though. Food and a hot shower cured my idiodicy.
Just had to relate my "fun times" from today.

Past birthdays and ribbons

Having a birthday being over is one of the saddest things. I didn't really anything in particular for my birthday. Just spent the day with family and friends. The best thing I could wish for. I feel kind of sad though. Just knowing another year of my life is gone is depressing. I'm not really dwelling on it to much. I got some really beautiful antique clothing I absolutely adore and I also got a new Josh Groban CD(which I'm totally freaking out about).
I love Archeology but I still can't push writing aside. My stories and thoughts just keep pouring out in an overflow. My characters are rather odd though. When I think up a setting for my heroine's room it always turns out full of ribbons and pictures, plants, and colors. I don't think I've ever said this but I love ribbons. I only have about twenty and most of them are white, so I'm looking for other colors. Ribbons, roses, beads, music, and books go together.
Just came on here to talk about nothing really so I guess I'll sign off. God bless!

Archeology

My birthday is coming up, and I'm very excited since I'm turning 15! Differences are about to happen, although I'm a little nervous about what they are.
This morning at church my dad announced his calling to the ministry. My mother and I knew all along, and we were waiting for him to announce it. He wants to become a pastor, but he also thought about going over sea's to minister. I still want to write very much, but a dream ever since I was a child was that I wanted to be an Archaeologist. It's been nagging at me for these last couple of months, and I've been looking into it. I seriously think that I will go into archeology. My parents have been thinking about taking a trip into Egypt (They're still thinking) and they thought it was a sign when I told them what I wanted to do.
We've been praying and asking our church to be with us. My dad's struggling with his calling, and I'm struggling with the change of my thoughts. I just wanted to get this off of my chest and ask everyone to be praying for me and my family.
I'm also getting envolved with my first true relationship and it doesn't help my thoughts, but I really like him. It's always sad when you grow up another year, and I'm deffinately stepping. Although I need these stepping stones, it still saddens me.

Hunny and Mori

For my schoolwork I had to compare two objects.
I have decided to compare people, so I chose Mitsukuni Haninozuka and Takashi Morinozuka(shorts: Hunny and Mori). I chose these two characters because they’re inseparable, yet as unalike as can be. Hunny is fun, childlike and lovable, while Mori is dark, strong, and wild.
They’re both eighteen yet Hunny is short(thereby giving him the child appearance) and Mori is tall(giving him the OMG appearance). When people come to call on them, they want both, because it is so fantastic to see the way they care for each other(Mori caring for Hunny most of the time). Occasionally, you’ll get some odd girl who prefers one over the other.
Hunny enjoys cake, flowers, and his bunny, Usa-chan. I think Mori enjoys whatever Hunny likes(of that I cannot be sure). They both do karate and can do some kick-butt action.
I can’t really say who is my favorite. I adore Hunny because of his cute and lovable character, but I also love Mori’s strong and silent state. I squeal when Hunny does something cute and I swoon when Mori even talks(he hardly ever talks).
I support both sides very strongly since I have a strong likening for both. I had thought about doing the twins, Kaoru and Hikaru, but they’re both my most favorite characters and I wouldn’t have been able to chose between them either. Since they’re my favorite characters I would have gone on and I decided to spare you.

Trick Dog Bank

Hey everyone! My dad got this old toy from a friend called the Trick Dog Bank. It's from the 1940's and it's missing a few peices. Well we went on ebay to look for another one that is "not fully there" and couldn't find any. You see the ones on ebay were cast iron and ours is plastic. No matter where I look they are all cast iron. The toy maybe plastic, but it's not cheap. It's made in USA. Everything today is made in China. (It's a family tradition of ours to look at the tag to see where the items were made.)
The toy is missing the hoop and the lever that gets it started. It's really cute though. If anyone knows anything about the PLASTIC ones than please leave me a message.
I still want to know how to get pictures on my entries. I can only get a limited few.

I also saw Howl's Moving Castle. Awesome!

Pictures help

Can anyone tell me how I can put pictures in my entrys? I thought I had it figured out. I mean I can get pictures on my entrys, but only about five. The ones you see now are all I can get. If I try to put a new picture in it will erase an old picture.
I've figured out how to put pictures on my blog template, just not in the entrys. If anyone can help me, just post me a comment, or send me a private message. I'm really dumb to pictures so I probably sound stupid right now.
Thanks, Rosethorn

Sooooooooo busy!

Whoa! I have not made a new entry in forever. I have been soooooo busy. Sorry, everyone. Started school about three weeks ago. Don't know how to respond to that. I've started my theatre group again. I've been so busy with my youth group. Our leader left, and we're, how do I put it, stranded? Yeah.
My dad and mom have been doing everything. See, we are a very small church, and if we want to go on another mission trip we have to work really hard. It's tuff.
I'm doing my spanish right now so I can't say much. Just one more thing. I read the last Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, and wow that was a dosy. Real Spicy! I mean I've read books that have smoldered in my hands, but if little kids are reading that! I don't know what to think. I have to go!
~Rosethorn

Mission Trip to Spencer

Today I just got back from a mission trip to Spencer with my youth group. This is the second time I've been on a mission trip, and I love it. Last year we went to Alabama with World Changers. This year it was Team Effort. It was just us and a church from Texas.
It wasn't so hard this year. We had three work days and two fun days(last year it was four work days and one fun day). We went hiking and swam at the Falls. On Friday we had some extra time before we went and saw the fire works. So, we decided to go see a movie. We ended up seeing Kung Fu Panda. LOL
I loved it! Such a cute movie. Anyway the fire works were splendid, and we had a safe trip home. I'm glad we got to do something for Team Effort. Even though it was only building a deck, and doing random fix it jobs around the campsite. Did I tell you it was a campsite? The Chapel and cabins are a little away from the sites.
The people who ran Team Effort were just teens. Maybe a little older. The youngest was eighteen, and most of them were in college. They ran the Chapel services, and surprisingly they did really good. The best of their ability. They connected with most of the kids since they weren't much older themselves.
All I can say now, is that I'm glad that I went, and I'm thrilled I got to show some of God's Love through what we did. I'm also tired.
