A Devotional To Share

From Turning Points...
We have centers for everything; ministry centers, childcare centers, convention centers, medical centers, and shopping centers. There's the Lincoln Center in New York, the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, the National Hurricane Center in Miami, and the Kennedy Center in Washington.
The word center comes from a Greek term meaning a prick or sharp point, specifically the exact point marking the middle of a geometric circle.
If something is the center, everything else revolves around it. Just as the planets orbit around the sun, our habits, hearts, affections, and thoughts must revolve around the Lord Jesus, who is the ultimate center of all. (Colosians 1:17)
The French writer Fenelon advised us to become so commited to God's glory that all other motives pale in comparison, saying, "It is then that God becomes...the center of the soul to which all its affections tend..."
When we're self-centered, we're self-deceived. When He is central, we can have confidence that He is in control and that our worlds are aligned correctly.
Romans 11:36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be the glory forever, Amen.

remember that these promises and assurances are for you

Colossians Ch. 1 v. 9-14.“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. ……... For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

My Prayer

My prayer for this site is that it will grow to be a place of support and encouragement to all moms, but especially single moms. We need a place to share ideas, be encouraged, and give others support too. I haven't found such a place so decided it was time to create one! I'd love to host a place where mom's can swap things too. Help me fan this flame and see where God takes us!
