Park trip

We went to the park today! For those that don't know (which most of you don't...), it's got a lake, and dukies, and goosees ( ), and a path that goes around the lake (it's about one and a half miles around). Anyway, it's really smooth for the most part, so me and Jeff brought our roller blades and attempted to skate all the way around. After putting our skates on, and me jumping out of the car and nearly killing myself, we decided to skate ahead of mom and the other siblings until we reached the next checkpoint; we'd wait for them there. ANYways, mom took some piccys, so without further ado, Our Trip to the Park:

So that was really fun... tomorrow the guys (meaning Jeff and Dad ) are going to another church to give communion with Fr. James, so we're going to watch Pride and Prejudice. The old one, not the new one. My aunt Missee's going to see that one first.

We're going to Florida next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now... let me explain WHY I'm so excited. I mean, it's just Florida, right? We haven't been down in YEARS. I think the last time we went down, Sasha was about 9 months old, because we went the year he was born, 2001. That's about 5 years... Holy moley...

Our whole family is in Florida... well most anyway. *sighs* So we'll see if mom gets some pics (which I'm SURE she will... won't you, mom? ) I'll post 'em.

Well... she went to the doctor the other day and it turns out she has a tumor in her leg that is highly suspicious as cancerous. So... on the 7th of March she's going in for surgery and on the 8th we're making our way down to Florida.

So if y'all could please pray for the Newport family and Phil and Thelma especially, that would mean a lot to me.

Oh, and when she told dad on the phone last night he told her that "you just lost all rights to bug me about going to the docter ever again." *grin*

Well... the Youth Outing was REALLY fun. We went to the Five Star Family Fun Park (that's one long name). They had Go Karts and Putt-putt... and an arcade and playground. So... we were waiting for people to show up... as you know *points to below post*... but turns out they weren't coming to our house after all. So after we arrived, with 2 people trailing us (well, actually 5, but there were two cars), we sat around trying to decide what to do first and waiting for more people who never showed up. We decided to putt-putt first. Adam won... dad was 2nd, then Elisabeth, then me and then Jeff. Jeff was BAD at putt-putt. So... after that we went on the Go-Karts; it was my first time and I was a little more than nervous. I was like AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! It was fast. FAST. But I didn't die!!!! HORRAY! *dances* And then it started raining and I had to get off. <_< Oh! And the 2nd time I went around, I was waiting in line, and there was this little kid in line behind me and he KICKED me in the shins! And it HURT! I just kinda glared at him... the father was like... oblivious. Why are people like that? Ah well. And I got in the FRONT go-kart... smart. Anyway, the kid who rode in that go-kart last must've been a little pudgy or something 'cause the seatbelt was HUGE on me. I was trying to figure out how to get it tighter (do you KNOW how many STRAPS are on that thing????), and the guy who was checking the seat belts just came and pulled a string and ziiiiiip... it's better. *rolls eyes* I was like... Oh. Thanks. Jeff bumped me a few times but I didn't crash. That's always a good thing.Anyway.... there's a long tag I wanna do, so...

Fav. foods? Anything with sugar, and pizza. ^_^

HIYA!

Nice. I just took a Narnia quiz and I'm Edmund. Yippie. I hate Edmund. Nasty little kid. Blech.

You will never guess what I got. Ever. This is how it started: yesterday was my day to get the mail... so I did. Yeah, I saw the package.

I just ambled up to the mailbox, ladeedadeeda... *DOUBLETAKE!* It's from Abbey. Then I openacated it. My jaw dropped to the floor. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT PACKAGE CONTAINED??????? A BarlowGirl NECKLACE! And-- and--- BARLOWGIRL AUTOGRAPHS!!!! O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O Because Abbey went to the concert, and *sob* got autographs for me... Now they're hanging on my wall, with the cardboard still attached bacuse I didn't want to (heaven forbid) pierce the paper. Now... to convince someone to take me to see their concert in Orlando... I think they're going to be with Todd Agnew in that one but I'm not sure.

So dad is now a Subdeacon. And Subdeacon Vassily is a Deacon. So he's not a Subdeacon, then, he's just a Deacon. This is going to be hard to get used to.

Well it's true.

ANYWAY, BarlowGirl won the Yahoo Music Who's Next thingie!!!!!!! So right now I'm watching Never Alone (well, more listening too it, because I can't watch it and type at the same time...). LIVE. It's really good, even live, and I'm not saying that just because I love BarlowGirl, either.

Symeon got baptised on Sunday! Yay. We took lots of pictures. I have to ask mom if I can put them up later.

It was so totally awesomly perfect!!

Before I start raving, this is what I found wrong with it:

Now, I don't know if this is an error or if I overlooked it somewhere in the book, but wasn't the captian of the Secret Police's name Fenris, not Maugrim?
Lucy, Peter, and Susan aren't supposed to see Edmund going into the Witches house
The wolves were attacking before the Pevensies and the Beavers had left the house
I don't think Ed turned in Tumnus, I think the Witch's Secret Police found him
The letter in Tumnus' house was pinned to the wall in the movie, not the carpet like the book
Lucy recived her present from Father Christmas before Peter, and Peter was last
Fr. Christmas said nothing to the Beavers
Peter was knighted Sir Peter Wolfsbane, when in the book he's knighted Sir Peter Fenris-bane.

And the biggest problem I had with the movie?

Lucy's blonde, not brunette in the books

So I'm a bit of a fanatic (oh, I know Elisabeth's going to say something about that...).

NOW! For the raving!

Everyone was very well done, Jadis especially, and I didn't have too much of a problem with Aslan's voice, as everyone else does. At least he wasn't a cheesy puppet like in the OTHER one... *coughBBCcoughcough* Those were bad. And y'know when I said HP4 was the bast movie ever? Strike it. I think this version of LWW was the best movie I've seen all this year AND last year, and not just new ones either. Better than ALL the Harry Potter movies, better than ALL the Star Wars movies, and Jeff even said better than LotR, buuuuuut.... I don't know. I do know that Elisabeth is also going to say something about my SW comment...

Now. You know what's really freaky? My little brother and little sister and older brother went too, and then when we were walking out, I went: *gasp* "Jeff! You're Peter! I'm Susan! And Moriah is Lucy and Timo's Edmund! Only... wasn't Ed taller?"

And Xenia got a kick out of that.

I cried. I did. There was a happy cry and a sad cry and a sweet cry and everything.

Let's see... I didn't cry at the actual moment of Aslan's death, I cried when Lucy and Susan were crying over Aslan, and I cried after the battle when Peter hugged Edmund, and I was sizzling with rage when Edmund was being mean to Lucy and was cheering when Peter pushed Edmund back onto the bed. Like: Stay. There.

*grin* I'm evil.

Okay, the Professer was... interesting, but cool. He didn't look exactly like I pictured him, but he was at least better then Mad-Eye Moody.

Mrs. Whateverhernamewas scared me. She was scary. "NO touchin' of the historical artifacts!" Yes ma'am!

Who else... uhm.. Mr. Tumnus was very well portrayed, only I didn't see a tail anywhere. Well, I did, but not one long enough to drape over his arm. Yup. And I know I saw him somewhere else, but I don't know where.

Great, I did this with HP4 too and forgot Cho and the french lady. *nods*

Clever. I just looked up who played the older Pevensies, and the one who played Lucy was actually Georgie Henley's older sister.

Anyway.

All the Pevensies were awesomly done, Lucy especially but Peter was a close second. Susan was good, too, and I say Edmund last because I hate him. But he was very good. *smiles*

Oh, I want to sow you the older Pevensies. Yes, I know probably half of you have seen this already. *sticks tongue out* Deal.

First is Edmund, then Susan, then Andrew Adamson (he can sleep soundly tonight; I'm not stalking him), then Lucy, and finally Peter. He scares me with a beard. It's just not natrual. It's creepy. *wink*

And see? Compare the pics! COMPARE THE LUCYES!

ANYway, like I was saying... everyone was good. The Witch's dwarf was awesome, and so was the Witch. Maybe she was the bast actress in the whole movie. Did you know Tilda is actually taken from her middle name, Matilda? Oooh, that was random.

Clever mom, she hid it in one of those clothes boxes, y'know, and put PlASTIC BAGS in it so it'd muffle the sound. *hugs mom* Thank you, mom.

And I got SPARKLIES from Biss. I LIKE SPARKLIES. SPARKLIES ARE PRETTY. Thank you, Biss.

AND I got a phone call from Abbey that lasted 81 minutes. And she didn't die! (I'd bring you 99 cent flowers, because if you're cheap I'm cheap! )

Independence Day Versus Goodbye Earl

Now, why is it, that when the Dixie Chicks came out with Goodbye Earl, they got a lot of smack and trash talk for it, and when Martina McBride came out with Independence Day, everyone was like: *wipe eyes* "That was beautiful!"? They have the same exact meaning: the women in the song both have abusive husbands; both the women *ahem* kill their husbands. It's so dumb! Why are people like that??
