<title>La Kooka Rancha - Homeschool Blogger</title>
<description>Here you can visit our happy little acre, where we homeschool our 5 children. We believe in love of God, simplicity of life, sense of humor, and love of learning. I hope you will find encouragement while you are here.
(Note: We like Hank the Cowdog.:-) )

<title>Monday Smile</title>
<description>This morning held a special treat for the littles at our house. I heard all kinds of exclaiming! &quot;Mommy! mommy! wook! wook! Mommy come see the CHICKENS! &quot; I peeked out the curtain and saw 2 guinea hens. (the neighbors birds like to go visiting on occasion) :-) I explained to the children that these are not chickens but guinea hens and I showed them a picture in the encyclopedia. I told them what they like to eat and how people use them like &quot;watch dogs&quot; sometimes.

After a little while, Doodlebug said &quot;chickens!&quot; and her sister announced &quot;NO, no! Chickens all gone...gindedenel sens!&quot; (Which translated means &quot;no those are not chickens they are guinea hens&quot;). It's amazing how much little ones can learn, even if they seem too young and can barely talk. They learn more than we realize.
This morning made me smile. I love to homeschool!
