<title>Long Time No Blog</title>
<description>I highly doubt anyone is checking this blog. It's been a long time since I've written.
Today is the last day of 2009! Weird! Seems like 1999 was just yesterday. We are doing really exciting things tonight like watching TV, computing, folding laundry, and Lee is working on the tile floor in the laundry room . Whhooohooo
Thoughts for the 2010:
- cook more
- cook healthier
- move more
- yell less
- worry less
- pray more
- hug more
- smile more
- talk less
What about you?</description>

<title>My Little One is One</title>
<description>Wow!
My little baby is one today. We had cuddles. We bought a Pooh balloon. No over the top craziness on the outside but a lot of emotions on my inside. She is unbelievably cute and snuggly. She kept kissing the video camera. It's hard to comprehend that it was a year ago today that I first saw her face to face.
I pray the Lord blesses her.

<title>New Nephew!!! New Favorite Recipe</title>
<description>Hello!
I have a new nephew. You can check him out here: www.lawsonmb.blogspot.com&amp;nbsp;You will see he is very very cute.
Things are going well at our house. The trees are beginning to show teeny little leaves. The daffodils and grape hyacinth are blooming. We are in the midst of soccer season and that is fun. More fun when it is not raining, but still fun.
At www.heavenlyhomemakers.com I found a new favorote recipe. They are called breakfast cookies, but we have already had them as snacks more than once.
Giant Breakfast Cookies
1 cup butter melted
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups whole rolled oats
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips (Susie speaking-&amp;nbsp; we like mini chips)
Mix butter, honey, eggs, salt, cinnamon, soda, vanilla, and buttermilk. Stir in flour and oats. Fold in raisins or chips. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 3 to 4 minutes on cookie sheet before removing cookies to cooling rack.
Yummy!

<title>Prayer</title>
<description>Last night I was able to go into our church building's woship center and walk.
Alone.
NO noise.
Dim lights.
Just me.
Just God.
It was amazing. Nothing spectacular or awe-inspiring happened. Just quiet.
I hope I get to do that again. Soon.

<title>Wow! When Did That Happen?</title>
<description>I just glanced over at my little one (who turned six months yesterday!) and I can't believe how big she is! When did she gorw so much?
I am also in complete denial about what size clothes she wears. I guess I think as long as I can squeeze her into certain clothes then maybe she hasn't gotten any older.
She is really starting to watch the other kids. The other day G was zerberting (how do you really spell that?) baby's belly and after each time she would stick out her tongue! It was so cute to watch. :)

<title>Husband's Birthday and New Books Plus Recipe</title>
<description>Well, yesterday was my husband's birthday. His gifts: candy, an electric sander, and roasted asparagus. I had never made asparagus and he had been hinting that he liked it after trying it at a restaurant. Just at the right time, a friend told me how to make it. He loved it!
Today he mentioned that he could retire when he turned sixty. I reminded him, with a smile, that he would turn sixty in twenty-one years and he has a child who is not yet one. I also reminded him, with a smile, that twenty-one years ago he was eighteen. What&amp;nbsp; a place to be! Right in the middle of voting and retirement! Wow!
We also made little molten lava cakes and homemade whipped cream for his birthday. The cakes are from a book I asked for (and obviously received) for Christmas called The Family Kitchen. Fun book.!
I also was given Queen of the Castle, Preparing Him for the Other Woman:Preparing Sons for Marriage (the title is something like that), The Homeschooler's Book of Lists, and there is another but it escapes me at the moment!&amp;nbsp; Anyway, I have lots of reading/skimming to do!
One of our favorite recipes and it makes two pans!!
BTW- sometimes I leave off the sausage and/or mushroom and/or olives... just put on what you like. :)
Chicken Manicotti
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
16 uncooked manicotti shells
2 - 26oz jars spaghetti sauce, divided
1 pound bulk Italian sausage, cooked and drained
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 small can sliced black olives
4 cups shredded mozzarella
2/3 cup water
Rub garlic over chicken and cut into 1 inch strips. Stuff chicken into uncooked manicotti shells. Spread 1 cup spaghetti sauce into bottom of each 9x13 pan. Place eight stuffed manicotti shells into each pan. Sprinkle with sausage and mushrooms.Pour remaining sauce over manicotti. Sprinkle with cheese.
Drizzle water around the edge of each dish. Cover and bake one casserole at 375 for 60-70 minutes or until juices run clear and pasta is tender.
Cover and freeze remaining casserole for up to one month.
Thaw frozen casserole before baking.

<title>Diet Dr. Pepper and Kids</title>
<description>Okay, I think I am addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper. I used to absolutely hate diet pop of any kind. However, it's like the can is beckoning me! LOL I don't even mind if it is flat!
Tonight at basketball I met a lady who knows me because someone else mentioned she knew me. The lady was very kind and sweet but then said to her young child &quot;Honey, this lady has FIVE children!&quot; haha I have heard &quot;Oh you have your hands full!&quot; and &quot;are they ALLLL yours?&quot; but that was a new one. One of my friends who also has FIVE children asked me if we grew a second head when we had the fifth because that's how some poeple look at us. haha I think it is funny.
I also love the little old ladies who come up to me in the grocery store when I have all (or some) of the kids with me and they tell me that these ARE the good ol'days. Several have gently touched my hand or arm and told me abut their children or what they remember. It's so sweet. Sometimes I can't completely hear what they are saying over my children but it is sweet none-the-less. :)
