JEREMIAH 20:8- *In My Heart Like A Fire* - Homeschool Blogger

Welcome to my blog! Here's where I ramble about, well, anything in the world! ^_^ I'm a teen on fire for YHVH, and I've got a huge passion for wildlife. I live in a Torah observant home as well. Some call me a "Football Freak" because I love the Indy Colts (Peyton Manning), NY Giants (Eli Manning), and G-Bay Packers (Brett Favre). Yes, I do know he plays for Jets now, but I refuse to acknowledge that. I write about football, my life, politics, animals, God, and well, pretty much anything on this here blog. I also run a ministry/magazine that can be found at: www.pure-little-ladies-ministry.blogspot.com On this blog, well, it's all my ramblings. Beware. Be ready. Be prepared. I love writing, so trust me, this blog is FULL of ramblings.Wait, haven't I said that before? But these ramblings are from football, to chocolate! From nieces to Ky-guy! From make-up misadventures to malodorous minks! From dimes to nickels! From Eli of the Giants to Brady of the miserable Patriots! From coffee to decaf! To the whimsical world of animals from mice to elephants! Misspellings to microscopic beings! Enjoy, and please comment me!

Hello, ya'll!

Yes, so it's been a while and most of you think I've joined FaceBook (but I haven't! Huzzah for me!). Life's been busy (when is it NOT?) and PLLM is on a roll and this week is our first PLLDiscipleship Group! I'm a little nervous, but I think it'll go smoothly...if you ever try contacting me on HSB, it may be faster to just drop me a comment on PLLM's site instead as I check that one more often than this one....
...and what was so important to even bring me here to post in the first place? Zoe's tag.=P Yeah, you didn't think I would just come and post for any reason, right? lol Enjoy...grab the tag if you'd like.

1. Are you wearing socks today? No, I don't usually wear socks.
2. When you can't go to sleep, what do you do? Uh, lay awake? What else CAN you do when you aren't asleep in bed?
3. Which do you like better, rain or snow? Rain. Totally rain. Rainy days are my favorite...they give me inspiration!
4. Have you ever had Ben & Jerry's ice cream? No
5. Do you like bananas? Not really.
6. Do you live on a farm? Nope, lived in the city all my life.
7. Would you say you're more city or country? Hmmm...maybe a mixture of both.
8. Do you like Dr. Pepper or Coke better? Coke. Wonderful Coke. Amanda D. and Sarah L. made me try Dr. Pepper when we were visiting in Indiana and it's just okay....but it stings. lol!!
9. Do you like to text? No. Takes me forever to write out one word because my phone isn't one of those cool texting phones that have all the letters on different buttons.
10. Do you have any friends whose name starts with a G? Ummm...hm...probably, although I can't exactly recall!!
11. Do you own any fancy clothes? I suppose...I do still have every single dress I wore to each of my siblings weddings!!
12. Have you ever met anyone that is from another country? Yep. Italy, Turkey, Puerto Rico, Iraq, Canada...
13. What is the first thing you notice about people when you see them or meet them? If they're cocky or not.
14. Do you have your own bedroom? Yes
15. Do you ever laugh at stupid things? Hmmm...depends on what kind of stupid.
16. If you had the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Scotland!! And Ireland, England, Japan....
17. What color is your house? Hm. Why do you want to know?
18. Is your room clean at the moment? Ha! Nooo...we have every single room upstairs filled because we have company over, so everything that WOULD be in my new sewing room is now in my small bedroom along with the new fishtank I need to put in, and the bag of rocks my niece keeps finding, and at least 4 sewing projects in there with an unfinished bed and art supplies waiting to be used tomorrow....

Memories...painful but nevertheless beautiful

I am so sorry for ignoring this blog...dear Jocelyn reminded me that even though I'm busy I should still find some time to update ya'll!! ^_^
So....last post was about dear baby Jonathan's death. The W kids are doing good but the parents are still struggling with "why would a loving God let this happen" type of thing. Which is totally understandable since I thought the same thing for MONTHS after Isaiah Daniel died.
Speaking of babies and Isaiah, July 9th marked one full year since the day we found out mom was pregnant. It's been one l-o-n-g, tough, emotional year full of struggling. Dad was out of work for 6 months, mom had a whole bunch of health problems while we were all struggling with Isaiah's death. One year of painful but never the less beautiful memories that I'll never forget.
Continue to keep my family in your prayers. My dad's book and our ministries (ConsiderHisWays and Pure Little Ladies Ministry) aren't coming along as fast as we'd like, but its all in God's timing. I'd really love to get a laptop to help out with all the computer things that we need to do instead of our failing desktop, but again, that's also in God's timing.
We were sooo blessed to travel to Indiana to meet the Dixons (along with meeting the Lirettes and Seven Sisters), their family was such a blessing and came at such a perfect time in our lives to encourage us. Most of the people that come to CHW were told to come by the Dixons. -_^ Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are such a blessing to us and we hope to be able to get together again soon...it was such a wonderful time of fellowship and restful "Shabbating" as my dad would call it. =P lol
My sister and my two nieces are here for about two weeks...so we're busybusybusy!! It's been fun though.
Please pray for me....I've been having some health problems and so far none of the bloodwork is showing anything (which could be a good thing I suppose). I'm also getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out on July 15 early in the morning....I've never had surgery or been "put out" before and I'm nervous, prayers would be appreciated!!
Shabbat Shalom,
Miss Toria

Blessed be Your Name

You've seen the title before on a post, almost about a year ago.
Now it's time to use it again.
My friend Amy's little brother died early this morning. MP called and woke me up to tell me that baby Jonathan had just stopped breathing. They don't know why, but God does. We will never know why, but God always will.
It took about an hour for the news to really sink in before I started bawling. I had JUST seen Jonathan (the baby) on Wednesday and he was fine. A little pale, but fine. It just didn't seem like the story of his death could be real. Maybe I'm just a "doubting Thomas", but until I see the W family again it won't seem real.
Please, please, please pray for the W family as they mourn the death of baby Jonathan. He would've been 1 year old soon. I can somewhat understand what they are going through since my baby brother died, too, but it's harder for them since they got to spend almost a year with him.
But through it all, we have to choose to say, "Blessed be YOUR name, oh God!"

No more baby Yamasin...

My nephew has officially graduated.
Now before any of you think I have a genius on my hands who has already completed high school, I should set the record strait. He's now officially graduated from being tagged as a "little kid". And how do I know that?
My brother and his older brother let him play the Wii for the first time today.
Now if that's not a promotion, I don't know what else is!!
*sigh* He's no longer my "little Yas" with his goofy grin (now he has a sassy one!! lol). He's the rough-and-tough outside kid trying to act "big" with the huge softy heart underneath.
He's also graduated to being goalie instead of the cheerleader. What more could a kid ask for?

*sniffs*

On Sunday, my sewing machine locked up. *wails* I tried to fix it, but then after that the top thread won't catch the bottom thread and all my sewing projects have come to a stand still. *sighs* To make my impatience worse, I also did JoAnn's 5 for $5 pattern sale yesterday and I have all these patterns I sooo want to try out BUT I have to wait until the repair guy can fix it. *huffs* So, currently I have 2 nightgowns, 2 skirts, and 2 shrugs waiting to be either finished or started. (I couldn't wait to use the patterns so I started cutting out the material...and doubled my sewing tasks. -_^ )
In the words of my dear sister...."Ohhh the drama!!!!"

Back to reality...

After one blissful week of high speed, I'm back to Internet slowness. *sighs* I mean, we still have high speed but we also installed a program called "Covenant Eyes", which slows things down so that it's faster than dial up yet not as fast as high speed. However, it's a great protection program, and I'm glad we got it....even if I do have to be continually asking mom to log on since she now put up a password (when we canceled dial up we got rid of the log on password for full-time always-on high speed).
I feel like I've been neglecting HSB (okay, it's because I am) but in all honesty I really have been busy, and I really haven't gotten FaceBook! lol However, I DID get glasses! Just reading glasses, mind you. I still have 20/20 vision but the glasses magnify the words so my eyes don't strain (like they are now because I'm too lazy to go find the glasses...)
I've been busy setting up new aspects of PLLM, which has been really fun yet rather stressful at times. All in all it'll pay off though! I've also been involved with my dad's ministry so that's been fun too....I've always been a creative person, always coming up with new ideas (as a kid, in order to keep me content for hours all you needed to do was give me paper and a pen and I'd imagine things up like crazy) and now it's starting to really pay off with these ministries. My dad's the same way, and mom's the one who is always pulling us back down to earth with the practical points.
Anyhow, so that's what has been taking a lot of my time. I'm also baby-sitting Jase's 6 kids and trying to get caught up on so much more. -_^ I've been tending to blog more over on PLLM's site rather than on here!
Guitar's going GREAT, still praying for a capo or tuner to come my way but for the time being I'm making due. "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman is now my new favorite song to play, and I'm going through a book that'll help me in my song writing. It's my totally favorite thing when you pray for inspiration and it hits you like a lightning bolt....I was writing a song called "Come Home" and I was praying for the inspiration and God sure gave it to me, and He gave me the right chords to put down as well. It's the best feeling in the world!
So, what's new with everyone else still left on HSB??
