But then I got thinking about what Thanksgiving is really about. I know every year someone says something about 'what Thanksgiving is really all about' but I'd like to say somethng that [I hope!] is original. Now, I'm not going to talk about pilgrims and indians. I'm going to talk about giving thanks. Recently, we watched a video about persecution. This young girl had seen her family killed, her best friend eaten by hyenas and her neighbors killed in a bombing of their church. Still after all that she was thankful... Wait.. THANKFUL?! Yes! And her prayer? Her prayer was not for the persecution to stop, or to be left alone. Her prayer was that God would use her through this and that he would give her patience. Patience?? After all that she didn't think she had PATIENCE?! It made me feel so horribly guilty about my life. How I complain when Mom asks me to do one extra thing, or Dad asks me to do something for him, or my sisters kick me off the computer. I think, when I am told something I don't like, that my world will crumble. So this year, instead of grumbling that I had to help cook AND clean up this Thanksgiving, I am going to be thankful that God is still God and that we are free to worship Him. There are SO many things to be thankful for so let's try something new this Thanksgiving... LET'S BE THANKFUL ALL YEAR 'ROUND! Just as a side note, the girl's request to Christians all over the world was they we would not forget them. My family has recently gotten this series from Netflix. It's the BBC Robin Hood. [l-r Robin Hood, Much[=^D], Little John, Will Scarlett and Allan A Dale] I have only seen 5 of them [more just came today] so if any of y'all have seen any later than that and they aren't good than please tell me because I don't want to post anything that might be bad. Anyhoo! The first ones we have seen are AWESOME! They are the best Robin Hoods I have EVER seen and that's saying alot because I'm very picky about my Robin Hoods and I have seen alot. [so far my favorite was the Disney fox Robin because none of the guys really hit it.] One of my favorite things about these Robin Hoods is Marian!   I love her because she is...well.... She's not the China Doll type and that's awesome in my opinion. I'm all for girls staying at home and all that but I can't stand girls who will never do anything for themselves and faint all the time! Another favorite character of mine is Much. For those of you who have seen National Tresure, he is like the Riley of Robin Hood =^D Much: [comes into dungeon [where Robin is being held] with a club, helmet and sheild] This is a rescue! *whispers* And we are undetected! Guards: [yell from off-screen] Outlaws! In the dungeon! Much:..[eyes widen] oh. Much: [to Robin] I don't understand it. You are feeding people who hate you. I love you and I don't have food..... I've changed my mind. I don't love you. Now can I eat? Another reason I watch Robin Hood, GUY OF GISBOURNE!   Okay.. yes he is a bad guy..... yes... he's very mean...... but he's so very awesome! I usually don't like bad guys... but this is one of the best bad guys ever [not to mention I saw him as a good guy in North and South first :-)] I think my second favorite Merryman [besides Much] would have to be Will Scarlet... OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH! lol... Okay. so it's a tough pick between Much and Will =^D Will is the brainiack of the group. He's always thinking. He's also the heart of the group and......... HE FIGHTS WITH AXES!!!!! =) In fact, I don't know why he's got a bow an arrow in that picture. There's a really cool shot of him goin' at the bad guys with two axes but I can't find a picture... [sorry Always ;-)] And of course, last but not least... I love Robin Hood because of... ROBIN HOOD!!! [DUH!] What kind of Robin Hood would it be without a likeable Robin Hood!? Okay so I have to admit, there was a scene in the first episode that my admiration for him was about the level of a catapillar foot... But other than that.. he's cool. haha!
