March Snow and Snow in the Bible

Well, we got much snow! More snow than we've seen all year... in fact, more snow than we've seen for years. In real life, that is. So we managed to go through the winter months with little snow, and now, as it turns into March, we get much. Mm.
Did you know that the Bible mentions snow- not just as a metaphor? Check out 2 Samuel 23:20; Job 6:16, 9:30, 24:19, 37:6, 38:22; Psalm 148:8; Proverbs 31:21; Isaiah 55:10; and Jeremiah 18:14.
Lebanon must have had some great snow. Jeremiah 18:14 says, "Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?"

C-c-c-COLD Weather

It's been very cold recently. We've had a few snow flurries and even a bit of snow on the ground. It's Saturday, so we were working outside today and my hands were so cold they were red and wouldn't stretch.
It's nearly Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for snow (because we ARE going to get more of it), not getting a cold working outside, laughter, my family, a chance to sing in a choir*, and the laptop.
*Hannah, Hosannah, Sarah, Caleb, Ethan, and I did a rehearsel with this church choir near us today. We'll be singing at church in the Sunday after next Sunday. -Moriah P.S. Here's SARAH!

Hey, it snowed a week ago. We were so excited unfortionuately it melted. I'm glad God made snow! P.S. We have frinds up north who get lots of snow. BYE - Sarah

Ethan's Birthday

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, dear Ethan! Happy Birthday to you!
How old are you? How old are you? How old are you? How old are you?
Ethan is now seven-years-old! Yow, Ethan, you're sooooo big now! Well, not really. But seven is getting up there.
I ought to get Ethan to write on this for his birthday. So, here's Ethan.
Uh, I can't find Ethan in minus 30 seconds, so maybe Joshua should say something even though he's crying and doesn't seem to want to do so.
(Joshua): "Mommy!"
Oh, well. Here's Caleb:
"I'm Caleb. I like to eat peanut butter. It's Ethan's birthday today! Um, whoever's reading right now, I like to spit out jelly and I like to eat a little bit. Good bye!"
Okay, so now I have Ethan here. Ethan:
"Hello. If you wonder who's talking it's Ethan Vickery. Whoops. I forgot to say Justice. Bye."
Moriah: Explanation: Justice is Ethan's middle name.
Bye! - Moriah, Caleb, Ethan, and Joshua

The Call, D.C.

Right now, Daddy, Rebekah, and Hannah are in D.C. at The Call. Please pray for them and that God will have the people that are doing The Call do everything that He wants them to do.
Going to North Carolina was fun. We (Hosannah, Sarah, Caleb, and I) all got a helicopter ride! We were driving along the road and we saw this helicopter and this sign saying that there was rides. So we all got a ride! Well, there were only four seats, so Mommy didn't get one.
We went to North Carolina for a Restoration Celebration service. We got to North Carolina, stayed in a motel, and couldn't find the place where they were having it! We were driving along the interstate, looking for a place to hike, and I saw this sign out my window: Tent Revival. There was this campground near it, so we went and asked someone if they knew where the Restoration Celebration service was going to be. They pointed in the area of the Tent Revival! Well, the Restoration Celebration service and the Tent Revival was the same thing.
     I hope I wasn't rambling. - Moriah

August is coming...

August is coming in about ten days. Looking ahead, we see that it proposes to be a busy month. Mom's heading off to South Dakota... some of us are going to The Call, D.C... we might be going (possibly) to Virginia Beach... overnight visitors for the first weekend... finish our addition... two birthdays... and I'm sure there's something I forgot. ???
ATTENTION!!! Someone else (besides me) really should definately write on this blog. I shouldn't have to do all the writing.
I am trying of think of what to write... so, I'll sign off until I get inspiration flowing. ~ Moriah

July News

We went to see the fireworks on the fourth. Joshua enjoyed it- he sat in his little chair and watched them go off. Sarah's birthday passed. Happy Birthday, Sarah (a very much belated happy birthday, though)! Today seems to be the hottest day of the year.
Oh! I just remembered. Now, this is really weird. Yesterday, for my Bible study, I read in Acts about Cornelius- the Roman centurion who wanted Peter to come and tell him about Jesus. That same day, I came across the strory in a child's Bible story book. This morning, at breakfast, Hosannah told us how she had read the story of Cornelius yesterday and that now, today, it was on Your Story Hour and We Kids. (I'm not sure if it's wee or we. ) So, I told her that I had read it, too. Later we found out that Rebekah had read it this morning, too- and she didn't know about any of our other enounters with it! I guess God is trying to tell us something, but I don't know what it is. Mommy gave a suggestion, so I'll have to have her explain it later.
     ~ Moriah
