Our Homeschool

It's been a busy summer

We drove over 1700 miles each way to visit our family, in July.  We had a great time, but it took so long to get back into the "swing of things" after returning home.

I was able to provide support for 3 pregnant mamas, in June and August.  I have also been working on pages for my website www.sewsweetbaby.com   Which has been interesting.  I don't have any programming, so I've been having to play around with the HTML code.

We did a mini freezer cooking session 2 weeks ago.  The kids helped and it actually went great.  We made about 10 dozen meatballs, 4 Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casseroles, 5 Mom-Style Hamburger Helpers, 4 King Ranch Chicken Casseroles, 2 Chicken Pierogies Alfredo, and then froze 2 bags of cooked, cut up chicken leftover, for other meals.  We've tried a few other recipes that we like from the freezer, so maybe later September we'll plan another cooking session.

I also made calzones, which were great, but unfortunately, none of them made it to the freezer to be tested.

I'm taking Bradley classes www.bradleybirth.com as a requirement for Doula training, any series of childbirth classes.  So Monday nights are busy.

The kids are back in AWANA, so Wednesday nights are busy.  The kids are also going to start some co-op classes on Tuesday with our military homeschool group.  I have no idea how things are going to get done, since Sunday we'll be in church, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will all be busy.

We've also been trying again to declutter and simplify things, but that seems easier said than done.
