Well, it's finally Friday! This has been a great week for the Front Porch. HSB's Senior Editor Nancy Carter has done a superb job compiling all of the daily posts, and getting them to run right!
To end the week there is another great line-up of homeschool fun. Dawne Shelton writes the Classical Column where she will share her love of classical education.
Several of you are homeschooling only one child. The reasons for this are many, but it doesn't change that homeschooling only one can be tough! Donna Conner shares how to make Homeschooling Ony One fun and social.
There is usually one or two subjects that can overwhelm a homeschool parent. Geography is one of them! Maggie Hogan shows us how to make geography more of a hands on subject, and not just text work. Geography Activities is for every homeschool level.
We all have those days, weeks, months, when we feel like all we are doing is the same old thing, over, and over, and over, again. Jennie von Eggers has a novel idea in her Homeschool Tip of the Day, let them make their own assignments! Be sure and let Jennie know how it worked out by leaving a comment!
It's time to wrap the week up. It's been a fun week, and I really enjoyed reading all the articles on the Front Porch. I hope you did too, and if so be sure to let the contributers know by leaving a comment!
If you didn't get a chance to read everything, don't worry! All of the articles will be archived under their subject title on the Front Porch side bar.
I'd be sad about the close of this week, but I'm too excited for next week! I'll see you on the Front Porch, same blog time, same blog channel. |
