I like to live in a clean, tidy and simple home. It isn't always that way, but that's what I like to live in!
Today's Front Porch topics cover just that. Clean and simple living and homeschooling.
I absolutely love books! To have Cindy suggest in the Tip of the Day that I teach without them? Naw, she suggests teaching without TEXTBOOKS! Now that is one good way to clear off those bookshelves for something worthy of sitting on them.
You've heard me say it before, and I'll say it again. The only way to have a clean house is get up off your duff and clean it. Kris Price gives out some practical tips on how to do just that, in "How To Keep Your Home Tidy On a Daily Basis." Bite sized pieces are always best. Maybe I should write a book called, "Take a Bite Out of Clutter."
My favorite hobby is blogging. Why? It doesn't cost me any money, it doesn't take up space in a closet, drawer, or bookshelf, and you get to spend time with people with the same interest every day! Amy Osborn likes to knit and she has a good tip on how to meet other bloggers who may have similar interests other than blogging.
So far we have tidied our bookshelves, our houses and met people who want to do the same. Now let's take a look at how we can "tidy" up our homeschooling. Amanda suggests we have goals. Goals create orderly thinking and planning. No goals equals chaos and rampant running amuck.
You might want to head on over to the protection of the Front Porch while I beat out a few rugs here in the lawn. |
