A day of silence was held yesterday in schools across the nation for gay activism. The side of the coin I'm looking at is a day of rest from perverted propaganda. It must have been quite peaceful in the schools to have so many people silent!
Still, I would have talked my head off, just to make it clear that I wasn't about to be silent. Christian students had intended to wear t-shirts on the day of silence that stated how they felt about homosexuality. This of course turned into a battle of freedom of speech and as usual free speech is only for those who don't take the Bible as the literal word of God. The Yak has the story.
Today though holds promise. It is "The Day of Truth." Over 700 high schools will take part by wearing t-shirts and handing out flyers in support of freedom of speech and the right to think and speak a different view point, regardless of religious background. You can read about that over at WorldNetDaily.
While I don't agree with homosexuality, I do believe that God gave us freedom to choose. If He gives me the freedom to believe in Him and His Son, then I have to give others the freedom to not believe in Him and His Son.
I may give you the freedom to choose, but that doesn't mean I do not have the right to speak what I believe. If I truly believe that those who turn their backs on God will go to hell, and I tell them how they can go to Heaven, then that is an act of love, not hate. |
