Training Hearts has started a Blogger Friend School, and the class is already 3 assignments into the curriculum. Call me the new kid on the block who has to catch up on her assignments.
Assignment # 1 requires us to introduce ourselves and tell why we started blogging. Then we have to show and tell our dream house.
So, to begin with I am Tia. I was in the Navy for six years. I'm married to my highschool sweetheart. We have four children, two girls and two boys. Two of our children were our foster children and then adopted. We are on our 12th academic year of homeschooling. I say academic because so many people will cleverly say they have, "homeschooled their children since birth." That's a lovely sentiment, but that wasn't the question. When you are asked, "How long have you homeschooled?" the person wants to know how long you have been working on academics.
Okay, on to the why I started blogging essay question. My blogaversary is coming up in another week. I started blogging because I enjoy writing. I used to belong to a writers support group but due to other commitments and time I could no longer go. I decided blogging would be just as good, and for the most part it is. Although I would like a little more comments about how to make my grammar and sentence structure better!
Now for my dream home! You can see a picture of it here. I'd take just about any facsimile of a victorian farm house. While that is my dream structure, my actual dream house would be large and house several foster children. I would do that in any structure and be happy. It would be independent of any state foster care system and I'd like to run it with my aunt and cousin. As for the inside I'm not really all that picky, just as long as it was child friendly and efficient.
