I've told you that my dear Eyebright now has her drivers permit. We have been going over the basics of driving, first of which is to check the outside of your vehicle before you get into it. Make sure nothing is behind the car, and that your tires aren't flat.
Eyebright finds this a bit tedious and so I find myself repeating each time we go out to drive, "Did you look around the car? Are the tires flat?" She claims I don't do this. I tell her that every time I get into my vehicle four children are getting in with me and they have never failed yet to tell me that I have a flat tire.
Yesterday, Happy Camper was playing with a car that has soft rubber tires. He was pushing it forward and letting it go so that it would race away from him. He asked Eyebright if she wanted to give it a try. She said sure and joined him on the floor. She gave it a push but it didn't go far. On further inspection she discovered that one of the rubber tires had come off.
Happy Camper said, "See, dat's why you sheck the tires before you dwive!"
