Oh yes, another fun and easy blog entry!
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and made by my friend from church who puts mint extract in it and serves it at bonfires. There couldn't be a more perfect drink!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree?
No Santa Claus at this house.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored lights. I used to think I'd like just the white, but they are so unfriendly.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No. Nothing would get done around here, Dear Man would be hanging about under the mistletoe.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
When we get around to it.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert?)
Playing with all of my cousins in the hay stack. We would move the bales to make rooms, and we had a couple of stories.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I don't remember. I must not have been to heart broken.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
If this means opening one gift before the big gift opening, yes.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
I don't. I let the children do it.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
If I don't have to go out in to it, love it. Otherwise dread it.
12. Can you ice skate?
I used to be able to; haven't tried in over 20 years.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
A little blue tape player, with two cassettes, Alabama and Abba. (Quite the combination huh?) They were from my Papafather. Go ahead, ask me to sing Dancing Queen.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
I am so humbled that Christ would come to earth as a tiny helpless baby. Outside of Jesus, family is important to me.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
My cousin makes these marshmallow corn flake treats in the shape of a wreath. I could eat those all day.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I read The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
17. What tops your tree?
An Angel.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Giving. I really like giving gifts that have a lot of meaning for the person I am giving the gift to.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
Away in a Manger. Tiki loved this song as a baby and asked me to sing it year round.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yummy?
Yum! My favorite are the soft kind, it's almost like chalk. (They don't taste like chalk, they just nearly have that consistency.)
