2007 has snuck up on me and I'm sure I'm about to be pounced upon at any moment. Just where does time go?
At this moment I should be telling you what my New Year Resolutions are, and I will I suppose, but I was pondering something and I just have to ask, "Why do New Year greetings and toasts have, may this year be better than last, in them? Does anyone wish that the New Year would be worse than the last?"
I usually take the easy way out with resolutions and simply say that I hope to be a better person than I was the year before. That encompasses quite a bit, and in some way I am bound to have been better in something than I was previously. I'll keep that resolution but here are a couple more that I feel I need to include:
- Become a better roller skater. We went roller skating with one of my cousins last week and my knees and ankles are weak! I don't remember the last time I went rollerskating, but it's been 13 years since Neeto had been, she was only three at the time. The children are begging Dear Man and I to go again and I must say that I would like the opportunity to improve my flailing technique. All caught on tape by the way.
- Learn to cook in a convection oven. This was our Christmas present from my Mother and we are picking it up in a week! It's not just a convection oven, it can be a normal oven too, and it has a glass cook top. Oh the joy of not having to clean under those burners!
- Above all I want to live my life for Christ. That's the best way I know to better myself.

If you like soft cookies, though, bake those with the conventional feature. Convection-cooked ones are crispy!
I hope you enjoy your new stove!
