Contests are so fun, especially those here at HSB! Their easy and have super prizes. Sometimes we're asked to do something helpful, sometimes we're just asked to be silly. We're always asked to leave a comment! Do you get the feeling people are starving for feedback around here?

~ First up is a contest over on the Company Porch. BusyBodyBook is giving away a 7 day blank grid! It's magnetic and perfect for all kinds of different planning.

Leave a comment on the Porch telling how you would use the grid to plan your children's lesson plans. I'm looking forward to seeing all the different ideas!

~ Gena's in the mood to share a great big box of Sees Candies, but if I were you I would make her give you the whole box!

Pop on over to Gena's blog and take a look at what you have to do to win something so magnificently delicious! It's just a simple review, have your children write it up for an assignment if you like.

Oh, if you win, please don't blog while eating your chocolates. Tech support doesn't take kindly to chocolate fingerprints all over the HSB site. Besides, it would be unfair to eat in front of all of us.

I'm still trying to catch up on my blog reading after our trip (come by and see the pics!) I've enjoyed reading yours tonight. I, too, have wondered if anyone still has any of those shallow notes written during school, and wished people knew how different I am now.
We've played pooh sticks!! It's been a while, though. I'll have to remember that when spring gets here.
I had the same thoughts about Marissa the other day when I saw her again taking the initiative to make lunch for herself and her little sister. I doubt I could have done that at nine.

I'm hosting a haiku contest that ends March 7th ~ if you're interested in checking it out.

But more importantly ~

Please pray for a baby named Alina who is having open heart surgery this morning in Colorado. She is given only a 10% chance of survival. Her dad is currently serving in Iraq and cannot be there with his daughter or his wife. I'm not sure if there is any other family around to support this mother while she goes through this very difficult time so we need to lift her up in our prayers collectively so that she will feel the peace and strength of God to help her get through.
