Whether you want to believe it or not, there are still "bad" adoption agencies out there. adoption.com shares the latest news report from The Salt Lake Tribune on an agency out of Utah that has allegedly been tricking Samoan parents into signing over their children to be sold here in the U.S.

80 children, their birth families and adoptive families are having their lives torn apart because of a group of selfish profiteers.

If you found out that the child you loved as one of your own had been taken from it's birth parents under fraudulent pretenses, what would you do?

sad. I dislike stories like this because it might tip a family on the side of NON adoption.....if they were on the fence.

Adoption is so God's heart. I hope this doesn't deter people.

That is so terrible!!!! It would totally crush me, if something like that happened. I know I would have to turn to God for comfort, but it would still be crushing!!!

• Aug. 13, 2009 - Focus on Children, owners focused on CASH

I thank GOD that the federal government finally investigated Focus on Children adoption agency operating in Wellsville, Utah by Scott and Karen Banks.
Yes, there are still some corrupt agencies out there but this one has been shut down, the owners pled GUILTY and now are convicted criminals, and on probation and need to fund a trust to help the families that they tore apart. Some families are finding it in their hearts to send their children back for a reunion with their real parents, now doesn't that sound odd. It does if you were told that your adopted child was abandoned. May God, protect these innocent children as they grow and learn their adoption story and that they have real parents in western Samoa.
