Sorry, I just couldn't keep using the word lie each week.

Last week you had to guess which of the below was incorrect.

1. I was a preemie baby.
2. I don't like raisins.
3. I woke up married and pregnant in a geo metro at a place called Pantyhose Junction.

#1 is not true. While I was only 4 lbs 4 oz. when I was born, I was a full term baby.

#2 This is the truth, but not the full truth. I DESPISE raisins! They are horrid, nasty, poisen pellets. Ick!

#3 is true. While I was already married and pregnant before I got into the Geo Metro, it would stand to reason that I was still that way while in the car. Dear Man had to come get me in California to drive us home to Washington. We drove late into the night until he thought he would fall asleep, so he pulled over into a parking lot. When we woke up in the morning, we discovered that we had parked right under a great big sign staring back at us through the windshield that read, "Pantyhose Junction." Dear Man and I laughed and laughed!

I tried to look it up online so you could see that this was a real place. All I found were two message board forums that mention it. Apparently there used to be a cafe that was at an intersection commonly known as Pantyhose Junction. Why I do not know.

Here are this weeks two facts and fabrication regarding moi:

1. I dream about tornadoes
2. I wanted to be a fighter pilot
3. I was in labor with my first baby for 26 hours

Which of the above is fiction?

I hope #3 is false! 26 hours in labor is a long time!!!

Well number two is obviously not a lie. (fabrication?) You being a tough mechanic and all. :) (that has always stuck in my mind)

Do you really dream about tornados? I have always wondered what it would be like to see one. Hmmm...your fabrication is that you were in labor with your first baby for 26hrs? I am guessing it was longer.

But I just had to comment on your last set.
1) I love raisins so thank you for despising them. That makes more for ME!
2) Tony and I gave up a Volkswagen Cabriolet convertible for a Geo Metro when we were pregnant with our first. With a new little one on the way, we didn't figure we could afford the insurance on the convertible anymore! And we absolutely LOVED the Metro.

In fact, we got another one this past year for Tony to use for work. We LOVE saving that gas money!

#2 I don't think you would want to be a fighter pilot but maybe pilot a plane? This is fun to guess things about people.

Face it Tia, you ARE telling a lie! You can call it what you would like but we know it's true. I'm going to guess that number three is the lie (ahem..fabrication) this week because I am pregnant and don't want to believe it's true.

Used to stop there during my long-haul trucking days. A small unaffiliated (non-chain) truck stop where semis could fill up, truckers could take a shower and the typical nothing special restaurant.

The waitresses either wore shorter skirts or shorts, I forget.

My visits were during the later 1970s. Not as PC back then and the shorter clothing helped to get the gals tips.

I don't recall ever seeing any harassment of the gals; everybody seemed to be having a good time.

I don't remember if Pantyhose Junction was the official name or if that name was on any signage but the term was used by truckers on the CB radio and was widely known.
