Two Truths Tuesday Part Four
At least I think this is the fourth time I've participated... We'll say it is. Last week I offered for your consideration the following three statements.
1. The 18 year old boy who was my "nurse" after I gave birth to Blue had never had a patient before in his life.
2. I would love to go to China!
3. A boy proposed to me when I was freshman in high school.
So, the way this game is played, one of the above is not true, and my readers had to take a guess at which it was. Here are the answers.
1. True. I was still in the military when I gave birth to Blue. Remember how I told you that when I joined the Navy I went in open? Which means the Navy generally chooses what you will do until you decide what you want to do. There I was laying in bed after the hospital shift change and in walked two young men. One explained what needed to be done, while the other turned bright red, then green, then looked like he wanted to sink through the floor. Later he came back alone to follow up. I asked him, "You don't want to be here do you?" He said, "No." I asked him, "Then why are you here?" He said, "I wanted to be a jet engine mechanic, but that was full so they made me a corpman." Now while he did go to a training school, it was only a few months long. The military is big on, on the job training. So there I was with an 18 year old boy as my nurse.
2. Ummm... Sorry Jimmie, not true. About the only thing that would entice me to China would be a baby I would be going to adopt.
3. True. I was dating a senior while I was a freshman. Before graduation he proposed to me. I had to tell him no. He decided to join the Marines. Wherever he is, I hope he's happy.
Now on to this weeks trivia trio. One is not the truth!
1. I sleep on the right side of the bed.
2. I don't sleep with a pillow
3. I sleep on my back.
There Cammie, I did it! A theme! Not exactly exciting, but a theme none the less. So which of the above is false? |
