The other morning Neato brought me the brown sugar while I was sitting on the couch. It was a hard block and I was trying to break it up for her when the next thing you know I was flinging brown sugar around like I was at a ticker tape parade.

I told Tiki to bring me the vacuum cleaner so I could clean it up. I went to town on cleaning up the couch when all of a sudden I heard Tiki say,

"You look beautiful when you vacuum in your nightgown."

That is so sweet. I usually wear sweats and yeterday's t-shirt as jammies. I have yet to get a compliment! Aren't kids great for the ego?! = )

What a sweet child! When I am vacuuming in my nightie, I KNOW I do not look pretty! You can avoid the brown sugar lump explosion by keeping a slice of bread in the bag with the sugar. Keeps it nice and soft. And yes, it softens up the rock-hard stuff, too. There's your handy hint for the day :o)

What a beautiful post! I laughed at your child's innocent comment. It's so true and profound! Mothers are truly beautiful as they place their priorities in order. While we clean in our nightgowns with our hair messy and our makeup non-existent, our children see the beauty of a loving and committed heart shining through. Blessings!
