My family is begining to know how Tony over at FunnyFarm is feeling!
I didn't think I would get so interested in all this blogging. I thought it might be a fun way to write my thoughts down. Then they put the Random Blogger up! I have sat here for hours pushing that button and anticipating what the next blog will be like. It's almost addicting, like slot machines.
I have found some really great bloggers with a flair for humour, and messages full of heart. I have posted some comments here and there not only to encourage them, but I like to receive comments, so I figure they must too!
Some of the blogs I have read were the kind that made me want to read more, so I added them to my friends list. By the way, the friends list is a handy way to check on your favorite blogs with ease and it lets your readers know who you like to read. Each morning I sit down and click on every friend, to open up their blogs and of course, read them!
This of course has taken up quite a bit of my time. Today Girl 2 came to me and said that she hated blogging. When I asked her with surprise, "Why?" she answered, "You spend all day on there!" I asked her if I had neglected her any.
"No, I guess not. I'm still being fed."
Well! I obviously need to curtail this new found hobby of mine. I have set guidelines for myself. Just like I have had to do with my book reading. I hope some of you know what I am talking about! I sit down in the afternoon with a good book, and next thing you know the children are clammoring to eat. Without even looking up I tell them to make hot dogs, and "Oh, could someone please bring me a drink?" Bedtime rolls around, and I tell them they don't need to brush their teeth, yes you can sleep in the clothes you wore all day, no, you can't skip your prayers.
Sorry bloggers, my family comes first. I'll still have a little time in the afternoons and evenings to check up on everything. I just don't want the kids to answer the doorbell and tell the UPS man in an apologetic whisper, "Sorry, she can't sign for that box right now, she's busy blogging." |
