I can't believe the great things people post on here! It is so much fun to sit down at the computer and take a look around at our little corner of the blogosphere. There have been nights in the past when I couldn't sleep and was to afraid to pick up a book for fear I would never put it down. On those nights I would go online instead and fumble around the internet trying to find good and decent websites. I did find some but many of them were a one time deal, or a webstore so going back again and again seemed like a waste of time.
HomeschoolBlogger is such a great place! (Can it be a place since it doesn't really take up space?) You can meet new people without fear of being hit on by a sleaze ball who hides from the world in his basement apartment. For that matter, I don't have any fear of running into any sleaze balls living in mansions either. The people here pretty much look to be like the kind of people they portray themselves to be. That's not to say that they are always that way, but I do believe on the whole most of them are fun to get to know.
Check out my friends list:
mamaduso has a beautiful snowflake craft that she shared, and ByHisGraceInColorado tells us about a whole website dedicated to snowflakes. She also took a picture of a perfect snowflake in her daughers hair, that's the post after this one I just direceted you too.
JayFromCleveland is having a geography quiz.
JenIg has re-shared one of her earlier writings about spending time with your children. That girl really knows how to weave words together.
Aligirl is trying to learn HTML and her website is under construction. I just love how people make their websites their own.
DreweLlyn is hoping the Lord won't ask her to move into a building that has no running water but does have shared toilet facilities. She will if she has to though, anything to reach the people who live in those conditions.
TC wants someone to come up with the self cleaning toilet.
drewsfamilytx is learning that her sons just might win the war if she doens't keep her sense of humor. Her boys come up with some of the funniest stuff!
Okay that's enough for now, but do you see what I mean? Every day I learn something new, or I am reminded of something great. I laugh, I cry, and sometimes that's in the same post! Best of all, these people have said they will be my "friend". Probably because they don't have to actually spend any real time with me, but at least they take the time to read my blog every now and then.
I also really enjoy random blogging. I get irritated with myself when I don't mark one as a favorite and then I want to go back and take another look. One of these random blogs had the, "Which Peanut Are You?" quiz where I discovered that I am most like Sally. My family laughed at that one! They all said it was true. I love Peanuts, so this was one quiz result I wanted to post and keep.
Thanks to all of you who make blogging so much fun!
