• Feb. 15, 2006 - The Contenders

Well, I did it. I started a debate blog. I don't know how it will go over as I didn't really receive a lot of comments about whether or not to start one. Still, the thought wouldn't go away, so I figured I will try. If it doesn't work, then I can always have it removed.

So, go check out The Contenders. I chose the name from Jude 3, ...ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. So far I have only posted the rules. Check in every Monday for the debate of the week.

A couple of questions for you template savvy people. For those that may add the debate blog to their friends list, I want it to say The Contenders, not JudeThree, the username I am using for that blog. How do I change it?

Please let your friends know about the debate blog! I can't wait to see if it will be a positive addition to HSB.

You are brave to take on a debating blog! I just don't have the energy to listen to other viewpoints sometimes. I have enough confrontation, negotiations and listening to both sides here at home! LOL But perhaps I shall have a few brave days where I will venture over and see what the latest hullabaloo is about-- should be fun, right?!

As far as eating a live octopus head first-- no thank you!!! As much as I love (yes, really do love as in one of my favorites of all time things) to eat squid and octopus, I prefer mine to either be stir fried in a spicy Korean sauce or delicately boiled, sliced and served with a vinegary-red pepper sauce that my mom makes. Deeeelicious!!! Wanna come over for dinner sometime?

As to changing the name that shows up in the Friends list...I'd start by asking Amy at MySmokyMtnHomeschool or Kris at ClassicalEducation4me. Sorry I can't be of more help, but that's out of my league :)

That will be fun. I am looking forward to it. I get so tired of people not wanting to talk, debate, think, learn, grow. I am surrounded (church, bible study) by people that are like this. Ugh!
