Why does Spring Break week have fewer hours?

We've been enjoying a week of no school, otherwise known as Spring Break! But it seems that the week is flying by and we actually have less time than a regular school week. How can this be? We had nothing special planned and were looking forward to a week of leisure. It is now Thursday, the house is a mess, & we don't seem to have any more free time than last week. Could it actually be that our schedule does help us to get things done to allow us "free time"? And when we don't follow it, we get less done and have less free time? When the rest of my family wakes up (hmm, maybe that is part of the problem) I'll have to poll them and see if they feel the same way. Perhaps it is just me taking note of a messy house, an empty refrigerator, and too many things to do.

We have done some fun things this week. We met some friends at the zoo, shot off model rockets, sewn quilt blocks, and today we are meeting with our Keepers of the Faith group. And to make the week even more exciting, my dear husband has been home. We've all enjoyed having him with us all day!

I've just realized that Time really does fly while you're having fun!

Time flys no matter what we are doing sometimes. I am gald you are using your time for some fun. It's been a long winter here and I am ready to have fun. Bring on the spring weather again. It was warm here last week ...70's and now we are back to the 50's. So your not missing to much in TN this week. I am hopeful that the warm weather won't take to long to return.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! : )

Mar. 17, 2006 - I polled the children

Posted by sajolley

Today is Friday and this morning the kids told me they feel like they've done nothing all week. I reminded them of the little adventures they had been on every day, but it still seemed to all of us that we had less free time than a normal school day. This just makes me love our schedule even more. Thank you schedule and thank you God for teaching us order.
