Our latest trip to western Kansas took us on a road trip through the small towns around Hays, KS. The immigrants to that area are predominately Volga Germans with Catholicism being the major religion. Below are two gorgeous churches built in the early 1900s from native stone. The first is located in Victoria, KS and has been dubbed the Cathedral of the High Plains. It is even more stunning in detail on the inside. The second church is in Munjor, KS. It had a whole campus of limestone buildings which were quite beautiful. Munjor has a population of of 100 or less.
