This page is filled with the beautiful writings of Ai Boon. The left side is a time of waiting and unrest as she waited for a diagnosis. The words are dark and very difficult to read, but they are there. The right side is a new song of standing in faith & letting God have the battle. The Bible verse referenced in white is: Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. |

This page is dedicated to a woman who sat with me in church each Sunday when I was a child. She taught me how to make paper boats and to bird watch.
This page was inspired by the most fun I've had playing Sharks & Minnows in the pool and the people who made it so. |

Below are photos of pages from my altered book project. These are pages of an old Methodist hymnal.

I took a class tonight called "Altered Books" at Paper Source which teaches the art of turning old books into new masterpieces. By cutting, painting, stamping and collaging the pages, a book is transformed into an artistic statement. I learned some very fun techniques that I am eager to use on some old hymnals. I am planning on featuring some of my favorite hymns and also incorporating some themes that God has inspired me to use. I'll be sure and take pictures as I work and share the "art." This is a sample they have online at Paper Source:
