Morning Gathering
|

It is a joy to see my beloved family enjoying the simple
pleasure of life. Breakfast in the kitchen in front of the "little" tv.
We are so blessed to have the children's father working at home much of
the time. It allows for these moments of togetherness, that otherwise
would be lost to the hustle of busier lives.
The moments I remember most about growing up, are exactly these
types of memories. Time together at the family table. It was "required"
then, by our father. The Sunday meal was mandatory. But it instilled in
me a real need to have the same with us. I think that the family table
is a need that we all have. Think of the stories of Jesus with His
beloved disciples. They would "lie" around the table. It was a very
intimate time for them. And Jesus did instill, and teach important
truths at those times.
Perhaps a New Year's resolution to "observe" family table time
would enhance all our lives just a little further. Just one more step
away from the outside world to recharge our spiritual fires.

Please take a moment to stop by my blog and read a prayer request for a woman whose blog I came across... she needs prayer.
Blessings,

My hubby works in our basement. Isn't it a blessing to have
our husbands around so much for the family. He's only been working from home for a year or so and it has blessed our family. God has used his work situation to bring our family really close. I'm so grateful to the Lord for our family time.
God is awesome!
