I used to do most of my deep thinking, and planning in the shower, but since that is almost always interrupted by such dire emergencies as " I NEED A DRINK" and " SO and SO IS LOOKING AT ME!!!!", and my personal favorite " Mommy what are you doing?" Then yesterday I realized as I was hanging clothes out on the line ( While it was 112 degrees here) that is was quite, and I had not been disturbed the whole 5 or 10 minutes I had been out there. I had had a ton of complete thoughts, and had got somewhere in making my daily and weekly plans and goals. So odds are if you stop by you will never find a dirty item of clothing in my house, and there will always be fresh clothes on the line :)

We are 2 days into week 2 and starting to sail along smoothly. Still working on some scheduling issues, but figuring them out quickly. It is still yucky Hot, but the stores are filling with fall holiday decorations which brings me hope for cooler days. We cleared out where the garden will go, and the kids are busy choosing what we will plant. I am hoping they will try some new vegtables if the grow them. I wonder if every child with autism doesnt like fruit and vegtables or is it just mine? I am amazed at how many things you can blend into pizza sauce and get away with it though!

So in my email from the old schoolhouse magazine, I found a link to these really neat toys that hopefully will be in my local walmart. We are always on a desperate hunt for something wonderful for the kids to play with. You can see them through the links on here: The Battle for the Toy Box Contest! |

Well we are half way through our 1st week. It is HOT, and hard to keep the kids interested in their schoolwork while the can see the pool sparkling through the patio window beckoning them to come swim. So we will trudge through until the leaves start to turn, and the pool gets too cold. They were discussing Halloween costumes today, so that is a good sign that Fall will soon be upon us. The little ones ( 6 and 7) are flying through the math, so I may need to adjust and step it up a notch. I dont want them to get bored, and loose the passion they have for it. The teens are longing for the days when they flew through their math, and have offered several times, to switch schoolwork with the younger ones. LOL I love seeing them all grow and learn. The way their face lights up with pride when they figure out a problem they have struggled with, or find their work "easy" to do. Oh how I cherish these days.
