This past week we have had Mission Conference at our church. It was such a blessing to our family to have a Missioniary family stay with us. They are serving God in Brazil. We are really missing them today. It always amazes me how God brings people into your lifes at just the right moment. We were so blessed by them serving God is always a blessing.
Our main guest speaker was Dr David Gibbs founder of the Christian Law Association. He gave a message on Thursday night that stirred my heart like no other has. I did not want him to stop God spoke volumes to me that night and continues to thru these few points he gave us. I want to share them with you today.
How to have Spiritual Discernment
1. Know the difference between Good and Evil
2. Know the difference between real and allusion.
3. Know the difference between wheat is Good and what is Best. (this one really struck a note with me)
4. Know the difference between our Desires and God's Will.
5 Spiritual Keys (there really made me contemplate my time with God)
1. No one can have spiritual discernment unless you can get Quiet in God's Presence. (Wow get Quiet I sure have a hard time with this one) This involves elimination the noise in your life. Noise are things like gossip, murmering (complaining), what you watch and what you listen to.
2. Ask!! James 1:5-6 If you need wisdom-if you want to know what God wants you to do- ask Him, and He will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that you really expect Him to answer for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
3. Seek!! Matthew 7:7 Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.
4. Get Sheep Like!! John 10:4 After He has gathered His own flock, He walks ahead of them , and they follow Him because they recognize His voice.
5. Megadose on the Word fill your heart and mind with the Word.
WoW!! It is so convicting to me. I hope that it is an encouragement to you too. If you have never heard Dr David Gibbs speak you need to. He is such a blessing to me every time I hear him.
Happy Homeschooling

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your prayers. When I started blogging, I wondered who would want to read about my life. But I guess people do LOL. I love reading about other bloggers' days.
250 pages...WOW! We've not tackled that yet, and I am feeling stressed since my oldest is a freshman.....I need to bite the bullet. Writing is the most dreaded subject in this house!
Humor...I try. Doug thinks I am too serious. It is much easier to be humerous when Doug is sitting there laughing. I was not feeling humerous until I saw Doug cracking up LOL. I love having him home. I get him for 5 more weeks :)
Well, I'm becoming chatty on your blog and the guys just pulled in. Have a great evening :)
