I'm sorry it took me so long to figure out what's going on. I don't pay much attention when someone comments on my SuzyScribbles blog, since I go over there regularly and read it. However, if you sign Mr. Linky (which you did) you must also leave a comment OVER THERE, and then you get much faster responses. :-)

OK, on to Lesson 1 and my welcome, welcome! I'm glad to have you join up. Please 'friend' me over on the writing blog---not on the SuzyScribbles blog! (I'll never find you in all the other names. The Reach for the Stars blog has a much shorter friends' list).
Boy, I've got some catching up to do to keep up with you, don't I? LOL For lesson 1, you're off to a great start. You have good understanding of the 5 elements of story. For the "plot" however, it is usually more specific, like a couple of actual "events" in the story, rather than just a one-sentence general theme. For instance, what are a couple of things that happened while they are proving that mary didn't steal the ring? I'm sure there are a lot; you just have to think of a couple of events. Understand? I'll be back to check up on this lesson when you LEAVE a comment on the writing workshop blog. :-)

OK, I see you added more, but what I'd like to see is 2 examples from the story of things that actually happened. For instance, in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the problem is "The White Witch is trying to take over Narnia and the children and Aslan must stop her."
The plot (events): A couple of things that happened are:
1) Edmund goes over to the White Witch and gets deceived by her
2) Mr. Tumnus gets turned into stone
3) Aslan is murdered by the Witch
Do you understand? All these things are events that happen while the Problem is being faced.
