Hey, so still running around like a chicken with its head cut off! I went to go to my first gymnastics meet and wouldn't ya know it. I got hurt. I hurt my patella tendon (for those of you who aren't science geeks thats the knee's tendon). I also have shin splints. So I had to take a week off and miss the second meet of the year too. I'm now back in action plus a knee brace, shin brace and athletic tape on my feet! I am no longer brace face but brace body! Oh well I'm back! My dad's happy cause all the braces hide half my legs when in my leotard! I have also been doing school. Yuck! I am one of those people who just abhors school in any form. the only thing I like is my literature and my biology 2. For any girls out there who wear hats let me give you a hint. Never wear it to youth group if there are guys there who you have stolen their hats. I made that mistake and ran around for 30 min. looking for my hat. They all just said it was good exercise. Well I g2g do school. =( |

Hey I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. All summer I have been doing gymnastics practice. I have improved and the season started last week. I have my first meet next week. Nervous much! Except as always, I hurt myself. I now have shin splints on one leg, beam burn on the smae leg from a fall on beam and a bruise on the same leg on the knee from another beam incident. Kinda funny when you think about it! But hopefully I will be ready to compete next week! It has been a better season than the last two seasons though. Thats for sure. Also I have been doing youth group stuff. I went to Summit Camp or otherwise known as Super Summer Youth Camp this year and it was the best and the worst. It was amazing and a great time but some other hard stuff happened that had to be dealt with. It was the best of times and the worst of times. Another exciting thing happened, my pen pal from Germany came to visit me! We had been writing for about 3 years and she finally got to come see me! It was great! I did more stuff with her here in Colorado than I have in the 3 years I have lived here! We went to the Great Sand Dunes and climbed to the top. What a view!!! We went to Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. I found out that I am the perfect cave dweller and Anasazi Indian becuase I am so short! Everyone thought it was hilarious. We also went to Super Summer Youth Camp together. We did our county fair for a week and the Ski-Hi Stampede Rodeo. We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and it was totally great. God has got sense of humor! Along with quite the idea of what is cute like porcupines! After she left I went to the Capitol building of Colorado with some of my other friends and went to the 16th street mall. It was just a great time and great summer! Now school has started. Bummer!!!! Later to all ya'll Savvy Me and My friends rafting down the Rio Grande! Christine in back. Second Row; Darian, Nani, Tirzah. Me in front.

Summer, The best season of the year. It is warm, no school, friends and fun stuff to do! I have been doing gymnastics and improving. I am sooo looking forward to the competition season in the fall! I have been hanging out and being the mutant that I am I'm reading books like crazy! I have been enjoying the smell of fresh cut alfalfa fields and rain. I have really been trying to make moments that matter and I will remember. Sometimes those moments just mean breathing in the smells of summer or sometimes going to camp and being loud and silly! I especially enjoy the silly times. I hope ya'll are having a great summer! Savvy |

Hey. So sorry for not writng in ages! I have been kinda busy. I was in high school track. That kinda consumes time. I was not very good and was extremely slow. It was fun though and I had a lot of friends. It was pretty cool! Next I turned 16!!!!! I had a party and it was a blast. My mom made me a new outfit and it looked great. I had a ton of friends come about 20-25 people. Also we played soccer, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag in the dark, and I had a good friend of mine dj for us! It was all I could hope for! I also started gymnastics practice for the summer. I am kinda nervous and have to learn a lot of new skills. I am praying for confidence and bravery seeing as how these skills are difficult. I also went to Aquire the Fire with my youth group. For all who have not gone I would say go!! It was amazing. Especially the worship! Unhindered, Everyday Sunday, Kutless, and The David Crowder Band played and all performed. It was pretty awesome! The messages were good and I came away with many life changes and lessons. Well hope ya'll are doing well out there! Savvy |
Hey Everyone. Is it snowing where you are? It is here! It just started to snow at Thanksgiving then there was no snow till last week. We finally have snow for Christmas! It just doesn't feel like Christmas without snow. Today we went up into a trail on the mountains and got our tree! It i is about six feet tall and pretty filled out. It fits our house too! Last year our tree was huge and we had to cut the top off because it was too tall for our ceiling; our ceiling is 12 ft tall! We also had to tie it to the rafters becasue it was so heavy. They look so much smaller when it is snowing out in the wilderness than in your house. We used my dad to measure the tree this time. It is a great tree! It is also fun going out and cutting down your own tree! How many of you guys have done that? Anyways, it is Christmas season. Time to decorate, buy/make presents and sip hot chocolate next to a fire. But also Christmas is about Jesus. So many times I forget that. With all the commercialism and advertisments about buying I tend to lose focus on what really counts. What really counts is Jesus. He was born as a saviour to our world. He came humbly because he loves us. We have Christmas to celebrate Jesus' birthday, not to give presents or go shopping. There is nothing wrong with all that don't get me wrong. We just need to remember to remember the reason for the season. I have a hard time with that and hope that I can get better at it. Remember the Reason for the Season! |

So this weekend I went over to a friends house. We do gymnastics together and have a ton of fun. We talked, did gymnastics and talked some more. I finally got my standing back tuck and a running aeriel! So cool. We also watched a movie called Ever After. It is based on cinderella. So many movies have been made off of that story yet I love every one of them. They all appeal to me and the romantic part in every girls heart. I had a ton of fun. Then on Sunday we had a thanksgiving dinner at one of the churches. I saw a lot of people I know and ate way too much as one tends to do at meals like that! =) My favorite part was the mashed potatoes and gravy. It can't get much better! Then that night we had an all church thanksgiving service and a pie social afterwards. Pie socials bring out the true self in everyone. People who don't like sugar all of a sudden go crazy and eat seven pieces of pie (keep in mind reader they hate sugar). They also drink hot chocolate and get sugar high. Then those of us who are chocolateaholics see a chocolate pie slice, get the biggest piece then decide that was too much sugar! How whacked is that? I did that and you have no idea how much I love chocolate. I could form a chocolate lovers anonymous club by myself! The only bad thing about Sunday is realizing tommorow is monday. School, school and more school. Oh well I get a day and a half off of school so its all good. Laters Savvy Here are some pictures of me from gymnastics and playing around with the camera!

So I have not been keeping up to date becasue I have been so busy. First there was gymnastics season. I do gymnastics on the Alamosa Mean Moose team. At first I had hurt myself four-wheeling and was out for almost a month, but then I got back into my game! I got to compete in all the meets at varsity level. I also made it to the State Gymnastics Meet on bars, floor and beam. I got nineteenth place on floor, with the highest score I have ever gotten!. It was awesome. The most recent thing that happend was I went to a Dare2Share Conference in Denver. It is a life changing experience. My youth group and I left on Friday morning and made the first session that night. The theme was Invincible. About how to put on the full armor of God and fight the spiritual battle we need to fight. The worship was by Fee and Leeland. They were great. I loved Fee! It was a challenging weekend though. We had to learn how the "Shred the Gnar" (go all out). We went out into Denver and collected canned food and shared the Gospel. We had to call a friend who wasn't a Chistian and tell them about Christ. We had to Pray out loud in a staidum of 10,000 teenagers. I can't say how great and amazing it was even the hard parts. My youth group is amazing and supportive and really helped me out. I can't thank m youth group leaders enough. I really learned that we are in a spiritual battle with demons and angels fighting. We have to be ready to fight our demons and put on the full armor of God and become Invincible. If you have never been to Dare2Share GO!!!! Shreddin' the Gnar Savvy. |

So I went to camp for a week. I had so much fun. We went up to Ponderosa. It is beautiful there. This year we got enough money to charter a bus so we did not take seperate cars. It was a hilarious drive up. We had gone last year and were really pumped up to go. The band that played this year was Bread of Stone. They were so good live and had great messages in their songs. They also hung out with us kids the whole week at camp. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Our speaker was Justin Rich. He was very challenging gave and thought provoking messages Our small groups were great. My small gorup leader was Bobby Crick. He gave us all nicknames. His was crickey bobby. I met a lot of really nice people. I also had fun in recreation time. All the games invovlved getting wet! The message was about letting go and letting God. About purpose, passion and how to live life and deal with life. They did a good job. My youth group was really supportive to me during the whole time and we made some memories. One of games we played was ultimate spoons. For anyone who has not played it it is rough but fun. I had bruises up and down m shins for a week or two. Also we got bandannas and snapped each other all the time. Why do the funnest games we play involve getting hurt? This camp was the last week of July. I took a long time to write about it! Laters Savvy. |

Hey guys. I have been so busy. Last week I helped out at VBS in the morning. The theme was Power Lab. It was great. The music was awesome. I had a ton of fun dancing around in front of the kids doing the motions. I helped out the lady doing the bible stories. I had fun in there too. It was extremely interactive. We experienced what every bible story was. My faveorite one was the friday's. I had to pretend to speak in a foreign language to help experience the pentecost in a way the kids could understand. Needless to say I take spanish but do not speak it well. I pretended to speack chinese. It was really funny. Everyone said I did a good job and I had the kids thinking I really spoke it! They were great in trying to communicate with me. One crew tried to give me hugs to communicate. The kitchen help was wonderful and the the director was absolutely amazing. It was awesome. (lets see how many times do I tend to use that word)? For the last six weeks I had been participating in the Wizard of Oz as a play. Last week I had dress rehearsals every night. The final production was on Friday and Saturday night. I did a good job and was happy with what I did . I also had a ton of fun. On sunday using the music from VBS my friend and I both sung in church and led worhsip. We had the music and the video going and turned up our mics. We sung over the music and did the motions. Everyone loved it. This Sunday I am also going to help lead worship and sing. So is my friend Breanne. This week I have just had gymnastics really. Today I went to Durango with my mom. We got to go the animal shelter and I wanted to adopt an animal but I couldn't. I also went to the trhift store and got a leotard. It is in great condition and I got it for only three dollars. I love thrifts stores. Well all for now |
|
It has been a while since I have written, so I have a lot to say. On the 21st of June I celebrated my friend Breanne's birthday at the Sand Dunes. It was fun. The creek was running so we played only in the water. It was too hot on the dunes. She invited some other friends and we all had great time. We also kept playing tricks on the parents. They were sitting on damp sand with lawn chairs. We would sneak up behind them and dig a deep hole in the middle of the legs. Then they would slowly sink; it was hilarious when they finally realized it! Then last week I had a camping trip with my youth group TIDE. We had a great time just relaxing, playing games, and fishing. I always have fun with them. Tommorow we are going to be in the South Fork Fourth of July Parade. That will be fun. Then Saturday, our friends the Cadicamos are coming to visit. Also on Friday night our youth Group TIDE is doing a fundraiser for going to a summer camp. We are doing a Spaghetti dinner. Most of us in the youth group are the entertainment. I have also had gymnastics practice. I love gymnastics. So I have had a busy summer! |

So I went to Florida for a week of Pre-Med camp at Pensacola Christian College. I had a ton of fun. Everyone there was really nice. We did all sorts of cool things. We got to dissect a sheep heart and sheep lungs. That was amazing and really fun! Then the next day we extracted DNA from a strawberry, onion, and from our own spit! We got to keep some of our own DNA also. We also discussed evolutionism and creationism and watched videos on it. The proffessors are really nice and helpful. They were fun too. The sports center was really nice they had a ton of facillities such as; bowling, ice skating, putt-putt, wallyball, raquetball, fooseball, ping pong, and air hockey. They are also building another sports annex. It will have a surfing simulator, water slides, roller skating track, paintball course, a rock climbing wall that is being measured for havning the most sqare footage in the country. So cool. The girls in my room were really nice and I met a few people that I had a ton of fun with. It was great. I would recommend that you Go to Pensacola Christian College summer camps. It is also a good college too. All for now. |

I am so pumped. I am getting ready to go to Florida for a week! I am going to Pensacola Christian College for a week of Pre-Med camp for highschoolers. There are many different things to do and different facilities. And to top it off I have never been to Florida! I am already packed and I am not leaving until Sunday afternoon. I can't wait. Warm weather and no wind. That is the good life. I have to ask and you need to comment away. Have any of you ever made homemade ice cream? If you have or haven't tell me. I am making some with my brother at the moment. It is sooooo good. We are even using really fresh cream and milk from my firends cow. All for now. |

So My youth Group TIDE (Teens Influencing Dudes Everywhere) Had a huge overnight bash. It was so fun. When I got there they were playing flag football. I jumped right in and ran 3/4 of the field after catching the football. I also got knocked over twice, hit in the leg with the football and a jammed finger. But it's all good. Then we went in and ate, played card games and other games and talked. Then when it was dusk and getting pretty dark outside we played murder in the dark. It was a fun game. So what happens is that a leader or the head of the game deals out random cards to everyone. There are four jacks in the deck. If you get a jack you are a murderer. Then you go around as the murderer saying murder in the dark to try and get rid of people. The normal people try not to get murdered and to find the murderers. By the end in the last few games everyone was sooo paranoid even I was. You look over your shoulder, run from anyone, and try not to go in too dark of places. Then we went in the hot tub for a while. After that we played more card games and played sardines. We were up till three in the morning. Though it was totally clean fun and boys and girls had seperate rooms and chaperones. Before that I went to a pool party for an end of the year sort of thing. My best friend and I both did so many flips off of the diving board becasue we are in gymnastics. It was ton of fun too. So all for now. |

I have the song International Harvester by Craig Morgan on my MP3 player. It is my favorite country song. It is sooo true too. Around here especially since, in the summer there are tractors and swathers on the road all the time going slow. We also own the brand of tractor International Harvester. So it is a great song. The music video is good too. So I have been job hunting trying to get a summer job. No definites yet but I am hoiping. Hope ya'll are having a good thursday and a good start of summer vacation! |

Hey Ya'll. Are you sick of school 'cause I am sick of school. So sick in fact that I have crammed to finish up school. I have finished two subjects in a week. I did 13 lessons of literature. Then read 8-10 pages of science in one day (Chemistry) and, did all my review questions and today I took the test. Sooo I have worked hard and finished quite a bit of school. It has snowed here this morning. I couldn't believe it. It was in the 80s this weekend, then it snows. I say God is making fun of us saying it warming up or our weathermen =). Also I am in the play "Wizard of Oz." I am in the chorus and do several solo and semi-solo singing parts. And I am the head poppy. That part is supposed to have a singing solo too. So it should be fun. I now have "DIng Dong the Witch is Dead" stuck in my head. Our family also has company coming this weekend, so I cleaned the house and stuff. Not a lot of fun, but it helps my mom out. I have been reading the book "A Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel. It is a really good book. If you are not a christian it will help you make some decisions concerning faith without preaching at you. If you are a christian than it gives you good proof for Christ when you evangalize. I would recommend it for everyone. I have the student edition hich is good but the non-student edition probably goes more in-depth than the one I have. Have a great Friday! |

I just bought a beautiful song by Casting Crowns called Who Am I. It really makes me think. God is the King of all. He can do anything. And yet He cares about me. He forgives me, guides my wandering heart, and even died for me. I am His because of what Jesus has done for me. I am a human, a mortal, yet God the Creator of the universe chooses to say "You are mine, special, and important to Me". One of the last lines of the song says Whom shall I fear? It is true we go through trials yet He carries my hurt and protects me. And "who am I that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, care to feel my hurt". He feels my hurt and has been there, done that. It is a comforting thought and rather humbling. If God cares about me and loves me even when I sin so I should be willing to do that. To see others sin yet still love them. God does it for me so I should pass it on. He will also calm the storms in my life, He will give me peace in the middle of my crazy life. Kind of like being in the eye of a storm. While I may be going through a storm He will calm me and give me peace, so I can go face the storm, when it passes back over me. Just some thoughts I thought to pass on. I would recommend to everyone to get that song. Remember Jesus really does care for you. |

I am now officially 15! I got to go shopping yesterday on my birthday. It was fun. I also had several people wish me happy birthday. Drivers permit time! I need drivers ed first though =). All for now. |
