I’m gonna tell you about how the New Zealand election went, but first I’ll have to tell you about how the NZ parliament works!
So in our parliament there is MPs (don’t ask me what that stands for, I don’t know and it probably just stands for something corny like Member of Parliament.)
So anywho each MP are in a region and your electret vote decides what MP from the region that you live in you want to represent you in parliament.
And then you have the party vote, it decides what party you want to get in to lead the country.
The leader of each party will be the prime-mister of the country. (Prime-mister, kinda like the president)
There are 120 seats in parliament but 60 reagins (6 are just for the Maori) so the other 60 seats get shared out to the party’s by how many votes they got. The MPs that there given to are called list MPs
So it happened like this
National got 44.93% of the vote.
Labour got 33.99% of the vote.
Greens got 6.72% of the vote.
NZ First got 4.07% of the vote.
ACT got 3.65% of the vote.
Mäori got 2.39% of the vote.
Progressive got 0.91% of the vote.
United Future got 0.87% of the vote.

So there is a 5% amount that a party has to get to, to get in parliament. Or if they can get a MP voted in by the electret votes.
So NZ First didn’t get over 5% and didn’t get a MP voted in so NZ first didn’t get in.
ACT got under 5% but they got an MP voted in so they got 4 list MPs too.
Greens got over 5% so they got in with 9 list MPs
Mäori got under 5% but they got 5 Electorate MPs (5 MPs voted in) so they got in with 5 MPs and no list MPs because... well they got just as much MPs as ACT yet less votes
Progressive and United Future both got 1 Electorate MP so they got in but they have no list MPs because they didn’t get enough votes
In NZ it was that whoever got the most votes got in, so it was just Labour or National (FFP)
But now we have MMP (don’t ask, I dinno) and so the other party’s are the “king makers”
Let’s say all the other party’s supported Labour, (they don’t but) so Labour got 43 seats and with the other ones helping it would be 64 and then Labour would get in, even though National would get more votes.
And I don’t know what party the Mäori party will support... but it won’t matter because even if the Maori party supports Labour, National will still get in! :D
So now you know (unless you’ve fallen asleep) that National’s in with ACT as the “king maker” and so John Key of National is now the prime-mister. (Not me...)

And now! For the award that I made! TA,TERDA!
The Contagious blog award! From Ness!
Now this is the first of my awards I have been awarded! I hope I get the other ones! Hint, hint nudge.
So Ness gets something special! *drum roll* because she was the first she gets to choose one of any of the awards that I made!
This was it! I was going to Australia! I Jumped got into the car and were off. I couldn’t tell you about what the day was like, it was too early and I hadn’t woken up properly.But I’ll tell you a bit about where I live:
There was a deep blue sky, if I showed you the colour blue you would think that it was too dark, and it would be hard to see, but its not! There were big fluffy clouds that seem to brighten up things, and (of course) the spring sunshine. On the land, well, you have green grassy hills that stay green all year round, (unless there is a drought) and lots and lots of trees dotted everywhere, and you get olive coloured native forests and the pine trees that are grown for wood. And in the distance you see the ever present mountains! Blue and snow-capped, then there is the sea... the sea how do you describe it? Well you can’t do it well enough!
We went through Hastings, Napier, and Taupo etc. We saw postcard scenes of a huge variety. And if I told you about it all you would probably be still here reading this post next week!! Oh and on the way we saw a cool-as town could Tirau and in that town all the shops have corrugated iron signs! Aneywho, after a few hours we came to Auckland. The motor way there is paid for by our fuel tax, (Grr Grrr X-() after driving a bit you find that you NEED a GPS. We got one from our uncle, and he had loaded on a Yoda voce! XD XD XD!
Well we got to the airport and hopped out of the car (well we didn’t *hop* as such, we just say that) and we just had hand luggage so we didn't have to check it in! Then after going through heaps of queues we got on the plane. Now you’ll want to know what the plane was like, but I won’t tell you! Jk jk! The plane was small for international only about 150 seats or so... and It wasn’t that good! You didn’t have your own TV, and there weren’t any others! But if you wanted to see something to pass the time you had to pay for a TV! And if you wanted food you had to pay for it to! Air New Zealand is far better! But it wasn’t that bad, the air-host said corny jokes. And when a kid was crying they offered to show him round, they said to him;
“Shell we go on the slide?”
Hehe the slide he was talking about was the slide that pops out the door if the plane crashes, (we were in the air then).
Dad said “He’ll need a big bungy cord!”
When we had a not-so-good landing, we found out that this was the pilots first time flying a full passenger plane! Then when we stopped we found that in this airport we could go out the back of the plane too! So we were one of the first people out. (We were at the back) so we were first in the queues! Then we skipped the baggage claim because we had our entire luggage as hand-luggage. So we were first through customs and got out quick! Then after finding out which bus to take, we were on to the hotel!
We got a bus to take us there. Well! Those bus drivers are good drivers! They go down streets that would be a mission for anyone else. The streets twist and turn so much that you would have to have skill to stand up while it’s moving!
When we got off the bus into the Sheraton Mirage hotel, I saw it was gonna be the flashest hotel I have ever been to! We were met by the greeters and told were to go. So then we went to the front desk and signed in. They gave Dad a key to our rooms and he asked for one for me, so I got one. Well he was doing that, I was looking around. There was a three story high water fall in the entrance foyer! Well the whole hotel was flash! Need I say more?
After we had un-packed we asked where to find food! So we were told of a food street and after we had had some dinner we went to bed...
Day Two;
We got down and had a yummy breakfast, that if I told you, you would make you drool all over the keyboard! So I won’t... After that we went to Australia Fair to buy some scooters. Scooters are the best thing to get when you’re visiting a city. The best ones are ones with big wheels, so if you hit a bump you don’t go over the handlebars! Well, when we got them we went for a bit of exploring. Then we went by bus to a fair thing... And then we went to the Locksmith’s conference. Oh! And in the evening we went to another mall, and on the way there it was fun because I stood up and swung on the hand rails in the bus.
Day three;
We’re gonna go to sea world! Well after Dad talks to some people about his invention... In the locksmith exhibition hall there is a wii up for grabs, to whoever gets the top score, aneywho, I have the top score now!
Then we went to sea world!
After the queue we started walking around so we ended up going like this;
1:00 watch a show,
1:30 go to a ride,
1:45 get through the queue and go on the ride,
2:00 rush off to the next show.
Same pattern the each hour...
Now if you are thinking that I’ll tell you about the shows and rides. Then you are wrong! But to make you not cry I’ll give you a rating! :-P (1 - 10)

So after Sea World closed, we went back to the hotel . We got some Pizza for tea, and then took our scooters in a bus to Surfer’s Paradise. We went shopping in a market on the side of the street for presents for my sisters, and then scooted back to the Hotel along the paths near the beach (about 4km) and got back about 10.30pm!
Day Four;
After Breakfast I found out that after over 24 hours I was still first on the wii! Then about 10 minutes before the wii was about to be given out, someone bet me by one point! :(.
We went for a swim in the hotel’s swimming pool. After the exhibition ended we got picked up by Dad’s cousin and went to his house for a BBQ. Then when we got back we dropped into bed!
Day five;
We had a=Quickbreakfast and zoomed off in the bus to the airport, went in Loooooong queues and then sat around in the terminal. Dad went off to get a movie to watch on the plane, an I just sat around and talked to a boy that was there. When our plane was ready to go, Dad still hadn’t come back! So I got out the laptop and I found that someone had left it on standby and so its battery was almost flat* so I turned it off so the power would not go down. Aneywho I saw Dad coming! So we went and got more food to eat on the plane. Then we got on the plane, well, got on the Loooooong queue and then got on the plane. The plane was the same as the other one, so I’ll save your eyes and not go and describe it. ;) So when we got there we picked up the luggage, went through customs etc and went outside. I was met by my little sister and Mum an got hugged squished to death! Then I knew I was home. Well after about 6 hours of driving and an “as much as you can eat” meal at Pizza Hut in Taupo I was!

I went to the dentist today... I used to go to a woman dentist and it was dumb they would fuss around saying stuff like “You’ll need to get braces!” An I didn’t want braces! They seemed not like me! I would rather have teeth worse than the mouth of saron than have braces! As it is my teeth are a bit like that... Err well that not true, there more like a shark’s teeth coz they grow into two rows ... And it freaks people out! At lest, I hope so... It adds to the Scaryman image... aneywho I now have a man dentist! He doesn’t muck around! He gives you a jab in the gum with a needle and then your gum goes to sleep (This time half my face wet to sleep that that doesn’t happen most of the time...) Then he gets his tool to pull the teeth out and before you know it your tooth is out in your mouth and you need to stop your self from swallowing it! Well it dosing hurt so much as you would think! The needleis the only bad bit that kinda hurts, but then you just fella tingling in you gum and even if you pinch in real hard you don’t feal it well you do but it feels like you touching it.
And I’m going to Australia! So I better go pack my bags!

Ghost Car
This is a car advertisement from Germany. When they finished filming the ad, the film editor noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. They found out that a person had been killed a year earlier in that exact same spot.
The ad was never put on TV because of the unexplained ghostly phenomenon. Watch the front end of the car as it clears the trees in the middle of the screen and you'll see the white mist crossing in front of the car then following it along the road....Spooky!
If you listen to the ad, you'll even hear the cameraman whispering in the background about it near the end of the commercial. You tell me is this a ghost or just mist....
