DAYCARE OR SCHOOL?
Why are people trying so hard to have children leave their parents at such a young age? First it was after school programs, like kids really need to stay at school once school is over. Then came along the before school programs, that's nice, make them go to school before school even starts.
Now that they (the schools) have the children from sunup to sundown, what's left......now they're targeting the little ones still at home barely out of diapers? When do the parents get to be parents if they're off to school at age 4 and 5 and now even 3 years of age?
It's shameful!!!! Schools are nothing but glorified daycares. This may sound harsh but I am sick of seeing little ones bussed off to school to be taught nothing of value. Oh yes, they are more than willing to teach the children NOT to stand for what they believe in, NOT to mention God (in any good way), to be ashamed to be a Christian, to tolerate ungodly and immoral behavior, and the list goes on!!!!
Although it saddens me to see all the little ones get on the bus each morning to head off to their daycare, oops, I mean school, I am also filled with a great sense of joy knowing my kids are where they belong.....at home with me!!!

Hi there! I used to work at a giant daycare, I knew all the teachers and I was the assit. director. I brought my boys to work with me everyday.I got to hang out with them all day and get paid for it. I loved my work and loved having my boys so close until my oldest went to Kindergarten everything changed. He was lost to me and it took me a year to get him back. I quit my job once I opened my eyes to see that other children didn't have it so great at the daycare. They were there from 6am to 6pm most of them. They were just babies 6wks to 5years old. So, we traveled to ME where my parents were. We just stayed together all summer and reconnected. With hestitation I let him go to 1st but I would walk him to the door and be there when the teacher opened it at the end of classes. His teacher was a dream. This year 2nd grade, not so great either. Wonderful teacher, yet I feel him getting lost again due to bullying, so next year we are homeschooling and I am so excited. Read my blog if you get a chance. It is cyndiegirl72.

Well said, Twinkie!
It is sad and disturbing to see our little ones being removed from their parents' arms at such an early age (and at all). What saddens me most is that so many parents are so eagerly willing to send their precious children off.... sigh... I'll never understand it. Praying God will turn parents' hearts home and to their children. Praise God for those who are willing to go against 'the flow' in keeping their children theirs.

So sad and so true!! I have a few members of my family who just cannot wait for someone else to DEAL with their kids. I had never given it much thought until I had my son, but I had worked in daycare. I knew I didn't want that for my kids. Homeschooling is really the same thing. I cannot imagine putting them on a bus and sending them off all day. Not only would they not be with me, but they would be away from their siblings all day. How long would it take for them to see their younger brother or sister as a pest instead of a friend? Oh our famly is so much richer for the time we are toghether!!
