Homemade Pancakes & Maple Syrup!
We
just LOVE to have yummy foods for breakfast! How about you?
I found a great pancake mix recipe that we have been using. It is
GREAT and so quick and easy to mix up ahead of time and have on
hand. I also found a maple syrup recipe. I adjusted it a
little and it tastes GREAT! I thought I would share these recipes
with you. Enjoy! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Pancake Mix 4 cups flour, all-purpose 2 cups flour, whole-grain wheat (or just use ALL white, all-purpose flour) 1 Tablespoon salt 6 Tablespoons baking powder 6 Tablespoons sugar 2 cups powdered milk Mix well and store in airtight container on cupboard shelf. TO
USE: Combine in a bowl: 1 egg (beat with fork), 1 cup
water, 2 Tablespoons oil, 1 1/2 cups pancake mix. Fry on hot
ungreased griddle. Makes about 4-5 pancakes. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Homemade Maple Syrup 1 3/4 cups sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 cup water 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring 1/8 teaspoon butter flavoring Bring sugars and water to a boil, cover, and cook 1 minute. Cool slightly. Add vanilla, maple, and butter flavoring. Cover for a few minutes as it cools. Pour into containers when cooled down a little and store in refrigerator. Yield: 2 cups
