Apr. 9, 2008 - Did I mention I love baseball season?
In case I didn't mention it - I LOVE baseball season. Maybe it's because of the routine. I'm a routine lover and I like to know that just about every night I can count on a baseball game on T.V. Not that I get to watch every single one, but due to the wonders of technology (DVRs), most nights we do get to watch the game, even if it's really late after we get home. Even better, we get to fast forward through the endless commercials.
It's comforting to know my Astros will always be there even if they're pretty pathetic which is the case right now, I'm sad to say.
So we're going to our first game of the season this Friday. Our ace (supposed ace - though he hasn't really 'shown up' yet), Roy Oswalt, is pitching. We always try to go to games when they have giveaways and Friday's is fun. Astros blankets - oh yeah! I was sad to miss Carlos Lee's Silver Slugger figurine last night and tonight I won't get a Hunter Pence bobble-head, but the blanket will make up for it.
We have a losing record so far this season but there are some bright spots. Out pitching is much better than expected. Our hitting has not come around yet but our big 3 in the middle HAVE to start hitting soon - don't they?
