Mar. 28, 2008 - Blogging Blahs
You know when you take a break from the internet and blogging you do tend to get 'un-addicted' and almost disinterested. So part of me is thinking I should just shut it down, but then another part is so blessed by the relationships I've formed on here and the Lounge and would hate to lose those. Actually, with not making entries as often lately I have missed the interactions.
Another consequence is not being much able to come up with very interesting subjects for blog entries. I mean my last entry was about dust for crying out loud!!! Ha!
So once again I come with not a whole lot to say. I could bemoan my Astros bad Spring (not to mention the demolishing we took at the hands of the Tigers tonight). Or share how Joe got to go to see Texas kill Stanford at Relient stadium tonight, but I suspect most of my readers aren't too interested in that. So - I'm reduced once more to bullitts -- let's see what we can come up with this time....
- How often do you tell someone you'll pray for them and never do?? That's the worst isn't it, especially when the next time you see that person you realize you didn't and can't honestly say, "I've been praying for you!"
- Amanda saw me on the live streaming service of church Wednesday night! I'm a little creeped out that anyone in the world could see me at church. Anyone else have thoughts about this?
- Our Women's Retreat is coming up next week - no matter what God will get the glory. We had a prayer meeting this week and the word that kept coming up was 'new'. New hotel, new administrator, new leaders, new hearts to serve leader (me!). The one 'new' we're hoping for is new-birth!
- Are you sick of this election? Yah - me too!
- I need to renew my passport. It's already expiring in a year again and knowing me I'll leave it to the last minute and be scrambling because some unexpected trip will come up - hey that would be nice!
- We had to buy a dryer last week, when we'd just bought a used one from another homeschooler 3 months ago, but it died! So we went ahead and got a washer too - both used, but they work well. I hate to spend money when I didn't expect to.
- Oh I got the cutest shoes today!!! Nine West, but because they were at Ross - a fraction of the price. Wasn't really looking for shoes but I couldn't resist.
- If you know me I'm not usually an impulse buyer, but did I tell you they were sooooo cute!??
- I'm doing a workshop at the retreat - please pray for me. I've enjoyed so much studying for this though, I hope the ladies like it as much as I have. Hmmm - 'like' is probably a weird word because it's all about sin and repentance! Oh yeah - I get to preach it!
- A friend had Laura and I over for lunch today -- yummy chicken salad and diabectic brownies - oh yeah, so good!
- Laura is gone till Wednesday - man you get used to having someone else around your house. It's kind of weird without her.
- I need a haircut! I must do it before the retreat so I don't have to think about it, or take an hour to dry and fix it. It's a mess!
- Did I mention I got cute shoes?
- Joe's neice had her little baby last week (Rocco)- he's not even 4 lbs --- awwww ... how cute. Of course we won't get to see him -- they're in Az . I must get a gift!! yikes - keep forgetting.
Ok I've run out of ramblings!

Mar. 20, 2008 - DUST!
I hate dust! I also hate TO dust. Unfortunately those two facts don't make for a happy combination.
I have also become allergic to dust, so when I do finally give in and just do it - I spend half my time sneezing.
Growing up I hardly ever saw dust, so when I got married and had my own place the amount of dust in my home would just shock me. I would grumble - this stupid California air ... it has so much dirt! I'm sure it does have a lot more dirt than many places, but when I moved to Houston and the same thing happened, it dawned on me that maybe there was so much dirt is because I don't clean the surfaces enough - duh!
My house growing up (apart from the fact that my parents smoked and that makes for a nasty environment - though when you grow up with it you don't even notice it) was always clean. I'm realizing now that my Mum cleaned a lot - all the time! She was also a nic-nac person and the nic-nacs never got gross. On a Saturday she would bring a basin of soapy water into the living room and methodically go through the whole room washing every little ornament. I'd say to her, "Mum why don't you ever take a Saturday off and do something fun or come shopping with me?" She never did - she was too busy cleaning! She also worked a full-time job.
So my conclusion is I just don't clean like she used to. I didn't really have chores growing up - Mum did everything. Ocassionally I had to vacuum and dust my room, but she would make my bed every day and pick up after me! I didn't even realize she did it I guess - it was just always done! So that made me kind of lazy in that department.
So how dusty is your house? Does it really vary depending on where you live, I wonder? I can dust one day and there's a film of dust two days later on the same spot - so annoying.
Oh just a note in case you don't know, the Rockets' streak is over - very over. We've been beaten badly the past two games and if we're not careful will come home 0-4 on this road trip which doesn't bode well for the play-offs. Come on guys -- let's get back to winning! Go Rockets!

Mar. 18, 2008 - Your Quiet Time
|
Amanda always comes up with good ideas to discuss on the blog. So I thought I'd once again take her lead. She was asking how your QT with God looks. Some interesting responses on her page - go take look. And wouldn't you all love a Dad (he left a lengthy comment) like hers who obviously spends a lengthy time with God every day. He is such a precious man! So's her Mom (a precious woman that is!). So anyway - my time with the Lord is very simple and not nearly long enough for my liking. Generally it goes like this...
And that's about it. Please share what you do and any tips or insights that help you! |

Mar. 15, 2008 - Making History
SUNDAY EDIT: 22 IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I've been very quiet on the Houston Rockets so far but I thought I would post an entry on the hotest basketball team on the planet before the streak ends! I know most of you have absolutely no interest in this but if you haven't noticed I'm a sports fan by now - you haven't been paying attention.
Yes the Houston Rockets, as of last night, are a record setting 21-0. OK so strictly speaking it's not an all-time record, but let's put some perspective on this. The only other team that has ever gone more than than 21 in a row was the 1971-72 L.A. Lakers when they won 33 in a row. We have to keep in mind that that was a completely different era and also that Wilt Chamberlain was on that team. The Lakers completely dominated the league at this time.
On the other hand, two and a half months ago the Rockets were in 10th place in the Western Conference; as of today we are in joint possession of first place with the Lakers. This team was going nowhere fast as it was trying to adjust to a new manager and completely new way of playing. After the Christmas Holiday it was as if a light went on and they suddenly got it! After a 11 in a row, we took a tremendous blow. Yao Ming, the best center in the league, went down with a season ending injury. All of Houston went into temporary mourning. We all thought it was over at that time, but somehow, the scrappy Rockets have adjusted to the loss and kept on rolling.
I'm not going to look ahead any further but just enjoy the streak for today. It could all change tomorrow.
Go Rockets!

Feb. 27, 2008 - Blogging Break
I'm entering into a very busy phase for me. My missionary friend from Russia arrived to stay last night and not only do I want to spend time with her but she's hogging my computer
. Also our women's retreat is coming up at the beginning of April and although that's a ways off I'm supposed to be preparing a workshop for it. I've barely started it. Added to that my Pastor's Wife emailed me today to give me another unexpected assignment which will be somewhat time consuming. It's all good - I need the challenge! Sooo with all that said, as well as school (that little thing!) and life,I think I need to cut back my computer time.
I wanted to let you know so you wouldn't think I was ignoring you all. I will be checking in with you and reading your comments, but I may not be able to post or comment on your sites very much.
Many blessings!

Feb. 26, 2008 - Rockets' Sadness
Yes you all know I'm a huge baseball fan, but right now I'm as big a basketball fan. The Houston Rockets have been on a tear since the start of the year and are currently in a 12 game winning streak.
However, a major cloud has just engulfed our team. Yao Ming suffered a stress fracture to his foot this morning and is out for the rest of the season; a season which is officially now over ... It's a very sad day for Rcokets fans everywhere
Please join me for a moment of silence!

Feb. 25, 2008 - Schedules
I had this up in the Nook Notes over at HomeSchool Lounge, so if you've already read that - don't waste your time
I had started out this year being good about writing down for the week what we wanted to accomplish each day, and checking off the items as we got them done. It's true what they say about the fact that checking off a list releases endorphines. It really does give you a good feeling.
Anyway I had been doing well but for some reason slacked off ... and it showed! I've realized this past couple of weeks we've not been getting enough done and what we do seems to take forever. Someone in our local HS group had posted her very simple schedule so I decided to use hers to adapt for us.
Already Pete (9) only has history and free reading left to do, and I'm going to wait till after lunch to have him to that.
Danie (14) has more to do but is about 30 mins ahead of schedule.
I don't like really strict schedules because I think it sets you up for failure, but guidelines are great. At least for my kids it works. They like to know where they're going in their day and not have surprises every time Mom comes up with a new brain wave!
Hope you're all having a great day of school. Oh in case you are fooled into thinking everything is perfect around here - that couldn't be further from the truth! Danie has had at least two whiney fits already also! Update - make that three! Ugh - Algebra!

Feb. 23, 2008 - Proud Mama
So Danie (14) has been singing in the Jr. High Worship team and the church choir for about 2 years and she takes both commitments very seriously.
Unfortunately I don't get to hear her very often. She hates when either me or her Dad are around and she's doing stuff like that. Don't ask me why -- we don't criticize her, just the opposite. Apparently she hates us coming up to her and saying, "oh honey you sounded so good!" Go figure - I don't understand it. Anyway, of course when she sings with the choir you can't actually hear her because she's with a big group. OK I'll cut to the chase....
This weekend is the Youth Purity Conference and the Youth Leaders really wanted parents to attend also (something else she didn't want us around for :( ) To bad - we came anyway! So the Jr High were leading one of the worship sets last night. Three girls sing - right into a mic so you can hear them!
I had told her several months ago - if she wants to be really useful in that ministry, versatility is the key and she should try to learn harmonies. I wasn't sure if she could. I'm not musically gifted so it took me a long time to be able to pick out a harmony and sing it (of course now that's all I can do). Her Dad is a natural though so I'm not surprised she could pick it up.
But after every practice or set she would come home and cry about how bad it was - and she couldn't hear the harmony and the other singers were too loud ... etc etc. Right before their set last night -- same thing! She was very nervous. They were singing in the main sanctuary with a real sound system, so I was worried for her.
Then they started singing --- it was so pretty - all those little voices singing together, when suddenly I could hear this strong alto part come in .. and I was like, "that can't be my Danie, can it?" So I'm watching all their lips and trying to figure out who was singing it and sure enough ... there she was belting out the alto part like a pro. I was so proud of her.
Oh and I have to give kudos to the little girl playing the drums. A little 7th grader sitting up there in this huge drum kits banging away - she was great ... so cute!
So I just had to come on and brag and if any of you ever tell her ... you're dead meat!

Feb. 21, 2008 - More Randomness
Since I know most of your are truly not that interested in the JBs ( and I don't blame you!) I thought I'd put something else up pretty quickly ... so here's some random thoughts and several pet peaves. if you could care less about the things that bother me then don't read it - it's my blog! Ha!
Here goes:
- My Rockets are rockin' baby! We're nine wins in a row, and by the time I post this I hope it's 10 - they're winning 48-29 right now. I'll be sad if they let this one get away. YES they WON!
- Basketball does not make up for baseball but it'll do for now!
- I hate when people misuse the adieu word. My friend Amanda correctly uses the phrase "I bid you a fair adieu" today on her blog, but people trying to be smart will often say.. "without further adieu" ack - wrong! Should be "without further ado!' Who cares? You're thinking - well who does? Me! And like I said - it's my blog
- Ok since we're on wrong terms ... there's no such word as heighth!!! That's like nails on a chalk board!! Breadth, width.... HEIGHT!!! I know I can be a verbage snob and I don't have the best vocabulary myself but when something bugs you, it bugs you.
- I'm really enjoying our Saturday night services. Joe leads worship and I always enjoy that (not that Frank doesn't do a great job on Sundays) and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It also means I have time on Sundays to meet with people I need to. At least half of the Sundays so far I've had to do that.
- Fridays are also very cool now that Joe has them off.
- Did I mention I love the Homeschool Lounge?
- I'd really like to figure out how to make my blog look better but I don't know how to do even the simple things
. I'm being advised to switch to "Blogger" because it's easier to customize but I'd hate to lose some friends here. I know I could direct them over there but they may not want to do that. - I was awarded the Excellence in Blogging from one of my friends the other day but I don't know how to get the little sticky award thingy so I can pass it on - please help!
- Danie (14) wants me to take her to the Mall today -- urgh! What did I ever do to deserve that?
- Church is having a Youth Purity Conference this weekend. Parents are invited but Joe and I will have to switch off - Pete (9) is sick.
- I'm trying to sell Mathusee Pre-Algebra Teacher's pack. I had to buy the whole thing because I lost one disk!! What happened - we found the disk 2 days ago - so now I have the pack in perfect condition .. if you or anyone you know would be interested, let me know (I'm thinking $40 ppd - that's over a $20 savings - if you buy from the company you have taxes and shipping). SOLD!!!!
- I thought the correct people were sent home from American Idol this week. I think the next to go has to be the rocker chick and the guy with the weird name ... Chikezie or something. What do you think?
Gotta go ..... lots to do, places to visit, people to see.........

Feb. 21, 2008 - I Promised Pictures
Well Danie (14) finally uploaded her pics of the concert and so she emailed me the best ones. These show how close we really were. The little camera we used doesn't have a great zoom so we really weren't that much further back than it appears - here goes ... I'll only put up 3 - one of each brother. Apparently I didn't get a good one of the three of them. This is Joe:
Here is Kevin
Last but not least - in fact most talented, Nick:

Feb. 21, 2008 - What a Night!
So we had a werird night last night. I went to bed relatively early (about 10:50pm) because Joe and I had planned to go out to breakfast this morning, because we'd been feeling like we hadn't connected all week and we wanted to talk. But even as I went to bed my stomach wasn't feeling too good, which I attribute to the Taco Bell trip we made before church.
Of course I tossed and turned till Joe came to bed because I never can sleep when I know he's up. Anyway, so we're in a sound sleep at about 1:30am when the phone rings! You love those calls don't you? As usual it was the church alarm company. Joe is first in line to be called when the alarm goes off because we live the closest. He doesn't usually actually have to go down to the church but he did this time because a door was left open - grrrr..... won't leave the name of the culprit here.
As soon as Joe left I had this wave of nausea come over me and I thought for sure I was going to have the stomach thing that's been going around the Youth leaders (I was helping them with something this week). Thankfully I didn't get to the puking stage but it was enough to keep me awake plus a major headache also ensued.
When Joe got home of course he was wide awake and couldn't sleep and I was wide awake and couldn't sleep --- arrrghghh.
Needless to say our breakfast out was postponed. Perhaps we'll do it tomorrow since he's off and we don't have to go so early.
The day kind of went from bad to worse to much better. It sure was a mixed bag. It ended up really fun because I met an on-line friend for the first time. Bobbi is a hoot. We met for coffee at my local Starbucks with her daughters and friend who lives here. Bobbi is in town visiting. We had a great time especially talking baseball with her sweet daughter.
So now I'm getting ready to settle in for an evening of American Idol and the Rockets game! Fun!

Feb. 20, 2008 - Daily Musing
Just thought I'd drop a note about my day!
We had a guest overnight. A good friend got to go out of town with her hubby and I took their boy for last night through this evening. At church he's the most hyper kid around and just runs circles around his poor Mom, but when he's here I hardly even know it! I almost hate to tell her
So I had her send school work with him and he did great. Almost too great. He's almost 2 years younger than my Pete (9) but light years ahead in reading and spelling. That makes me sad
. I know Pete is a little behind but I'm not sure if Matthew is just a genius (this could be possible knowing his parents) or if Pete is much further behind than i even knew.
I console myself with the fact that Pete's comprehension is excellent and is ahead in Math and would be in Science if I was doing a 'real' curriculum with him. Ho hum - I don't know what to think. I think I'm going to spend more and more time reading with, and to, him although he doesn't really like it!
I'm loving the Homeschool Lounge but I'm suspecting it's eating up way too much of my time - I've got to watch that!. I created a Baseball Fan group over there and have 5 members including me already. I'm surprised about that! I didn't think there were weirdos like me out there!
Another thing today was that I met with a gal who wanted to 'talk'. She and her dh are having issues, unfortunately they sound a lot like me and Joe! Yikes! So I tried to sound helpful when all I could think was, "girl -- it'd be helpful if you could do this yourself!". Typical! I'm sure it was the Holy Spirit trying to speak something to my heart. So we'll see if I can implement it later. Oh I must emphasize - we're NOT having major problems - just some communication difficulties! And actually not even that right now - we're good... they just reminded me of us at times. OK I'll stop before I get myself into more trouble
Off to church ....

Feb. 19, 2008 - Change of Plans
Well after feeling all proud of myself yesterday I've decided to hold off on San Jacinto. My friend Amanda emailed me with a bunch of ideas for field trips - the girl is a history buff - and I decided to do something else from her list of suggestions.
We're actually going to drive up to Washington on the Brazos and the history museum there. I can't believe I'd never heard of this place. It may be one of those things I'd heard of but forgotten. Anyway, I was thinking of asking Joe to take a personal day so we could all go then realized he now gets Fridays off.
I'm still getting used to that. So we're going to try to go next Friday. We'll take the camera and try to post some pics.
Wow I'm actually posting about homeschool stuff - amazing!
So now we're trying to brush up on some Texas history to get in the mood and have a semblance of some knowledge when we go. OK it's late - gotta go!

Feb. 18, 2008 - Homeschool Hum Drums
Anyone having the homeschool hum-drums right about now?
The Holidays are well in the reaview mirror, but summer is still quite a ways off. We're smack dab in the middle of the year when lots of work should be getting covered, getting well on our way to checking off the majority of what we want to accomplish. However, I'm feeling quite uninspired! I think I need a conference to go to or something.
I think I need a fun field trip. Over at the Homeschool Lounge some ladies have been sharing about their favorite field trips in Texas. Some good ideas out there. I always like to drive over to Austin and San Antonio, for some reason there seems to be more history about those places, but I know I'm dead wrong there - afterall this is Sam Houston country! Aha! even as I'm typing I'm realizing that although I've been, the kids have never been over to the San Jacinto monument. Can you believe that?? What a bad HS mom I am.
OK I'm gg to do it -- maybe next week! We should probably read up on a little bit on Santa Ana et al first. We've skimmed over Texas history before but this might be a good time for a refresher.
Thank you ladies for that inspiration - I feel like I have a goal now. I shall to the library go this week - maybe even tomorrow.
Will post an update on our little field trip soon!

Feb. 15, 2008 - OMJ The Jonas Brothers Rock!

Yes indeed the Jonas Brothers certainly do ROCK!!
What a fabulous concert, fierce even! That is Danie's new favorite adjective. Where to begin?
Well we got there 2 hours early and were 2nd in line, although there was really no reason at all to line up; we had our tickets and allocated seats, but actually it turned out for the good because the line at the merchandise stands ended up being ridiculously long. Fortunately we made it in early enough we didn't have to really wait. Let me tell you the people who put these conerts on know where the money is at. The merchandise was flying off the shelves even though T-shirts were $30-$35 and posters $10, programmes $20. Good thing is was Danie's b/day gift or she wouldn't have been getting any of it.
Like I said we were one of the first people in the arena. When we walked out from the foyer into the arena proper the girls were overwhelmed when they realized where the seats were; front and center only 3 rows back which is nothing. As they were screaming their heads off an usher asked us, "Would you be this excited if Jesus was here?" He didn't believe us when we said we would, but that's OK because Jesus was blessing our girls anyway.
So the opening act was pretty good but of course everyone just couldn't wait for the main event. From the moment they came on stage it was high energy and fun. These boys are incredibly talented especially the youngest... Nick. He played guitar, piano and drums. He of course sings and probably has the best voice.
The tickets had said no cameras or video recording so we didn't bring the good camera. As we were standing in line they told us we couldn't bring in a camera with a detachable lense, but small digitals were OK. We were so happy we had decided to bring the little camera to take snap shots at the restaurant so the girls ran back to the car to get it. Unfortunately we ran out of batteries pretty quickly and the only video we could take was on Danie's phone. We would have been in the perfect spot to get great video if we'd known we could bring in a camcorder. Oh well.... it was a great time even though my ears were ringing for quite some time. It was really worthwhile. The boys are clean cut and there are no lyrics you would need to censor - of course they're also very cute, so if you don't want your girls exposed to very cute teenage boys this wouldn't be the conert for you.
So... we got home and went to bed - I couldn't believe I had JB dreams!! Concerts flying around my head. Now I'm hoping I've heard the last of going to a JB conert for quite some time. If their popularity continues to increas, which I think it will, it will be completely impossible to get tickets in the future.
So tonight is Joe's and my time - he's taking me out for Valentines - can't wait! Have a great day!

Feb. 14, 2008 - St. Valentine
If I had the energy I might post a profound dissertation about the man. We did study a little about him this time last year but it would mean work for me and I'm boycotting that today. So it will have to do for me to say.... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!
Now for something completely different : actually before I go on can anyone tell me who popularized that phrase? You get a gold star if you're the first one to respond with the correct answer.
But anyway... aren't you glad to know our country is doing so well it can afford to spend a large amount of money, and time of over 30 Congress men and women to sit around for a day questioning a lying (most likely) baseball icon, and a lying (definitely) ex-New York cop, come personal trainer about things we'll never really know the full truth of?
As a baseball fan I'm enormously discouraged by the events of the past 2-3 months and the steroid scandal, and I have avoided posting about it until now. However, yesterday's circus was enough to make me want to vomit.
As a baseball fan, I want to believe Roger Clemens but in order to do so you have to believe that just about everyone else involved in the debacle are lying except for him.
As a baseball fan, I would wish people like Brian McNamee could be eliminated from the sport and wish that players were smart enough to not get around them in the first place.
As a baseball fan, I'm not naive or stupid enough to believe that the players would not have got their hands on whatever illegal substance they wanted whether creeps like McNamee existed or not.
As a baseball fan, I'm so glad people like Craig Biggio, Lance Berkman and Adam Everett graced the sport with their character and abilities. As an Astros fan I'm even more glad they've done it in a Houston shirt.
As a baseball fan, however, no matter what I am soooo happy to report that pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training TODAY!!!!
As a baseball fan, I will still go to games, watch on T.V. and probably love the game till my dying day!
Countdown to Jonas Brother's Concert: 9 hours 14 minutes....

Feb. 9, 2008 - All Night Prayer
About a year ago our Pastor decided we needed to be praying more as a church and so had our first all night prayer session. Last night was our 3rd. We're now having 2 per year and this was the first time I had been able to go and stay the whole night.
What a huge blessing! The format is such that the time passes really quickly and we get to pray for every ministry in our church as well as our local, state and national govenment, the sick in our church and our building project.
I loved moving around and praying with many different people throughout the night. One thing that blessed my socks off was have my 14 year old there and she prayed with her friends all night. Pete was also there and was happy to sit in the back of the sanctuary with his Nintendo DS and personal DVD all night - no he didn't fall asleep!
We know our all powerful God loves to hear His children pray and that our prayers are effective. Even if we don't really understand how all that works; how we can move a sovereign God. However, He has commanded us to pray without ceasing and when you're obeying that command there's no great joy or fulfillment.
We got home around 6:30am after grabbing some breakfast and crashed for a few hours. Joe is already gone to get ready for Saturday night service and I'll be behind him in a few.... gotta go take a shower first!
Blessings! Have a great weekend

Feb. 6, 2008 - Randomness
Edit:Kristin over at An Ordinary Life is having a short but sweet Valentine's Giveaway. It starts on February 6th and ends February 9th, 2008 at noon PT. All you have to do to enter, is post about her giveaway on your blog and leave a comment on the giveaway post HERE. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment."
My friend Amanda has a penchant for random bullitt point blogs entries, so I thought if it's good enough for Manders it's good enough for me! Not only that but it means I don't have to think through good sentence formation and paragraph structure; always a plus!
- Having trouble thinking random thoughts!
- I love PBS. No not Public TV. If you're a reader I really don't know why you wouldn't join.
- Sniff, my dog, really gets on my nerves. On days like today, bright sunny and cool, he just constantly wants to go out then in, out, then in. He'll lie in the sun for about 2 mins, decide it's too cold then want back in. After another 2 mins indoors he thinks he's missing something outdoors and so the cycle continues! gggrrrrr ... please stop the madness.
- Decided to print off some old TAKS tests for the kids this week. So far we've done some reading comp. tests and they're both doing great. I'm hesitant about anything else because they've learned Math and Science in such completely different ways. Danie has attempted some of the Math test so we'll see how she does.
- I want to go to Spring Training soooooo badddddly!!!!!!!!
- If Joe and I decided to go would we be awful parents for not taking the kids to Disney - ugh... yes we would!!! I'd die of guilt!
- For you uninformed - Spring Training is in Kissimmee FL... a stone's throw from Disney.
- Joe also really wants to go to NY this year before they tear down Yankee stadium ... again would we be bad parents for leaving the kids home??
- We don't really have anyone to take the kids anyway.
- Catchers and Pitchers report to Spring Training Feb 13th ... YES ... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Danie is such a drama queen. She's so upset she can't take in a camera to the JB concert. Good grief she has 3rd row seats and she still finds something to be upset about!!!
- She wants to sneak a camera in - what should I do?? Would they throw us out if they find it? Would they confiscate the camera ... or are we just bad Christians for even thinking about it?
- Can the competition for American Idol just get started already??? These stupid auditions are just ... just ... stupid!
- Some days I just want to stay in bed and read a book all day. Can I please??
- We're having all night prayer Friday... I've only stayed a couple of hours before, but I'm bringing the kids this time and I'm staying ALL night. Pete can bring his Nintendo and personal DVD player and a blankie, and Danie is going to PRAY!
- We will pay off our car in about 3-4 months. Yeah! Joe wants to put the same amount into a savings account so we can buy our next car cash. Dave Ramsey would be proud. I want to too, but there's such a big part of me that just wants to BUY STUFF! Like siding for the house (yes not very fun), or furniture, or new beds for the kids.
- Our couches are 15 years old and were white when we bought them. Since then we've had two kids, a cat and a dog ~ imagine that! We need new couches.
Had enough randomness? I think you have. Have a great day!!!!!!! Love you!
