In The Process

Hmmm....Where has the time gone?

When I began this blog I had visions of blogging daily or at least every other day.  Well life happens and the blog thing has not.   I will try to update on what has been going on with us and our lives.

It is amazing to me that my last post was over 7 months ago.  So much has happened and so many tears have been cried since May.   After Hector's death we gave up on homeschooling for the rest of the semester.  My children had much more to do than study Rome, multiplication and phonics.  We spent the time talking about death, life and Jesus.    During this time it has been so wonderful to go and cry out to Jesus.  It has been a blessing for our kids to hear how God is sovereign in all things.  Here are a few of the comments from the kiddos:

" I know God is using Uncle Hector's death to bring people in Daddy's family to saving faith in Jesus"--Emma, age 7

" It is really sad that Uncle Hector died, but I know that God is sovereign and He is using this for good"--Eli. age 5

"Uncle Hector is in heaven, if I believe in Jesus I can go to heaven and see Jesus and and Uncle Hector"--Abbie, age 2.

God is so good and faithful even in death!

On Sunday, May 4, 2008 my bil went home to be with the Lord.  I ask for prayers for my husband and children, my father in law, numerous cousins and mostly for Teresa, his wife of only 3 weeks.

(This is Hector with one of my babes)

God's Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be [8] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. [9] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.                                        Romans 8: 31-38 ESV

I just recently found an amazing blog.   This family is faced with some hard things right now but through it all you can just feel the love they have for the Lord and His will to be done in their lives.  These are people I wish I could know IRL.  If you have time visit their blog (click here).   Prepare to cry and also to be amazed by God's grace.  Blessings to all who stop by!

Jesus, Thank You

Today for communion Sunday we sang one of my favorite songs:

Jesus, Thank You
The Mystery Of The Cross I Cannot Comprehend
The Agonies Of Calvary
You The Perfect Holy One Crushed Your Son
Drank The Bitter Cup Reserved For Me

Chorus:
Your Blood Has Washed Away My Sin
  Jesus, Thank You
  The Father’s Wrath Completely Satisfied
  Jesus, Thank You
Once Your Enemy Now Seated At Your Table
  Jesus Thank—You

By Your Perfect Sacrifice I’ve Been Brought Near
Your Enemy You’ve Made Your Friend
Pouring Out The Riches Of Your Glorious Grace
Your Mercy And Your Kindness Know No End

This song is so awesome!  Thank you Jesus for washing away my sin!

In The Process

The first entry...oh what to write?....

First I will explain the title of my blog "In the Process".  Through Jesus' death on the cross I am justified before God.  I am still "in the process" of being sanctified.  This idea is such a comfort to me!  There are many days when the weight of trying to be perfect has me very down.  Yet when I look to the cross and realize that Jesus is my perfection and I don't need to be perfect I rejoice greatly.  I am so thankful that I am "in the process" of becoming like my Lord!

Thank you Jesus for being my sin bearer!

Blessings to all!
