My Rain Falls

Down, down rain falls
Dropping, dropping so hard
I stay within these walls
Keeping everyone barred.

My feelings so strong
Must be contained
They boil hard and long
They must be detained.

They fill me up inside.
I am quiet still
They think my feelings died
Along with my strong will.

But they are still there
Beating, beating in me
Do I let them out, do I dare
Let everyone see?

My feelings are a rain
Forever falling down
Bearing anger, disdain
In me they are sown.

I must let them out
Before my anger over me reigns
All my anger, fears, and doubts
Appear as tears...my rain.

My rain falls silently
My rain pours out
My rain pounds silently
My rain instead of a shout
