We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. BW's parents came down for a long awaited visit and it was so nice to catch up with them. We were treated to some yummy meals at real restaurants where you don't have a tray!!!, lots of treats, great conversation and fun watching the kids play with their grandparents.
Here is a picture of CJ & EF while they were waiting for Grandma & Papa to arrive.

CJ is insisting that since they are sisters they need to be wearing their hair alike and dressing alike (never mind that they LOOK NOTHING alike). She was so jazzed that Grandma had brought them matching shorts and the next day I was able to find two sets of shirts in both their sizes on sale. They call each other Mary & Laura from Little House on the Prairie.
On Monday, BW had the great idea of taking the kids miniature golfing for the first time while Grandma & Papa were here. Unfortunately, my camera battery was dying so I didn't get too many pictures. But here are a couple.

AK had a good lesson in taking turns and had some trouble comprehending that he couldn't pick up his ball until he had hit it in the hole.

EF's form was more of a "sweeping the ball into the hole" putt.
AF probably thinking "When am I going to get to do fun things? They always just leave me sitting in this stroller!"
And although I don't have a picture, CJ had a hole in one!!!!!!
Then the real fun began as Dad & Papa took CJ & AK on the go carts and bumper boats!!!! They both absolutely loved it -- who needs Disneyland?? EF & AF came into the arcade with me & Grandma to pretend to play the video games as she wasn't quite tall enough to ride yet. Then we took the kids to the playplace for lunch before heading home for a much needed nap.
Then we had our first of the summer BBQ'd teriyaki kabobs(my favorite!!!) and root beer floats for dessert. Actually the kids had vanilla ice cream cones. They thought root beer floats were too weird looking. I sure hope we are never sent to the mission field if they think root beer floats are weird!!
Thanks Grandma & Papa for a wonderful weekend! Looking forward to visiting you in August!
