If you haven't subscribed to Freecycle you may be missing out on some cool FREE stuff!!!  Basically, it is an e-mail list of people who live in your area.  If you are looking to get rid of something, you post it and people who want your junk will come and pick it up!  Also, if there is something you are looking for, you can post that you are on the lookout for an item and someone may have one sitting in their garage that they would be happy to have you take off their hands.  Depending on where you live, you may want to start a separate e-mail address as some of the lists get pretty busy.

Last week, I was thinking that I wanted a cork board for our hallway to put the kids artwork and things.  So I posted:  Wanted: large corkboard.  Within a few hours, a very nice lady offered me one she had.  It's just perfect and I didn't have to pay anything.  In the same week, the same lady had posted that she had a humidifier (we've been wanting an extra one to try to cut down on AK's nosebleeds) and some craft supplies(all hsing families will take craft supplies, right?) to give away.  I offered to take those too and she was named our Santa Claus for the week! 

I am amazed at what people will take too!  Before we moved, I had a bunch of shirt boxes that I was NOT going to box up and move 350 miles so I posted it there.  I found this woman who wanted all 50+ boxes I had(don't ask why I HAD 50+ boxes) because her hobby is giftwrapping.  I also gave her all my extra christmas wrap and she was just thrilled.
