Well, we are counting down to our move this Saturday and the pressure is on. Mental note: If at all possible, never move during the holiday season or the weekend after BW has finals.
My head is spinning. I've been trying to keep up with all my online purchases of Christmas presents (and then packing them so that I'll be able to find them before Christmas!). Tomorrow night is EF's Awana Cubbies Christmas presentation so I need to find a way to make her into a wiseman (wise person???) and CJ & AK's Sparks Christmas parties so I am making fudge for their leaders. BW has finals today and tomorrow and a huge paper due on Thursday night as well as elders & staff meetings this week so he's not going to be around much. Oh - and his laptop screen decided not to work to give a little added "fun".
The kids are enjoying my packing as old toys & clothes that they haven't played with in the past year are resurfacing and all of a sudden it's something they can't live without and must play with now. They also greatly enjoy playing hide and seek in and around the boxes. One of the packing hazards with young children that I hadn't anticipated happened yesterday as EF took a hold of some scissors I was using and cut a chunk out of her hair!
We are so excited, though for this move to finally happen. We have a crew of seminary men to help us on this end and a crew from our new church at the other end. Oh - Did I mention that they are predicting scattered showers for Saturday? Please pray for the rain to stay away until Sunday! The kids are excited to sleep in their new bunkbeds on their new bedding. BW is excited about the "adventure" of a new church, a new position, a new house, a new neighborhood. I am excited to finally get my Christmas decorations up, even if it may only be for a couple weeks and to finally decide where everything will go.
I will probably not be posting for a while as we probably won't have internet hooked up until around Monday. Hope to post some pictures then.
