Yesterday, we took a field trip, one of those huge perks/blessings of being a homeschooler. The weather was amazing and so we did our devotional and read aloud our Five in a Row book, Daniel's Duck and then headed out for a "suprise ride"(where the kids have to get in the car and know we are doing something fun, but don't know where until we get there) We went to Griffith Park and rode the train which all the kids just loved. Then we had a picnic lunch and went to the park. I was feeling a tinge guilty. Until, that is, a busload of public school kids arrived to have their lunch at the park too. Well, if their teachers got to call the same activity a school day then I certainly won't feel bad about calling it one!
Here are some kinda odd pictures of my students:
CJ: Wearing AF's hat and being silly

AK trying to scare off the ants from getting our lunch

EF: Oh, no pictures, please. I didn't have a chance to do my hair today.

AF:I'm going up the slide alone and you can't stop me!

Although it's nice that things aren't cold, I do have to say that it is a little too hot to get into the 90's in mid-March. Next time I think we'll just head for the beach:)
Blessings!
