Have you seen this pacifier? A few days before AF was born, I went to Target to pick up things I thought I might need, but people don't generally give you -- mylecon drops, some burp cloths, diaper rash cream, socks -- and I picked up a couple pacifiers to use just in case. I know, I know, you aren't supposed to give newborns pacifiers when you're bfing, but it's my 4th kid.
Fast forward and AF has his pacifier of choice shown above. None other will do. Well, one of his siblings was playing with it and it is starting to get a little tear so I figure I'll go back to target to get another one. Might be different color, but the general look and feel would be the same. DOES NOT EXIST ANY LONGER! Who knew that pacifiers changed with the seasons like clothing? Their look, styles and packaging all change!!!!!!!!!! I have looked at multiple Targets, Wal-marts, drug stores and nothing that even resembles the outside shape. So I bought one where the nipple had a similar shape -- and my 5.5 month old knows it's not HIS!!!
On a positive note, he has started sucking on his fingers(ironically the same too fingers I can's get his older sister to stop sucking on at age 6), but never to soothe himself to sleep. So, if you are in stores across the country, feel free to check out the pacifier aisle for me -- and if you find one I may have to auction off another child to pay for it as you hold it as ransom:) |

My DD was also a pacifier addict. She even named it Bubby. I know the crisis than an occur when that favorite one is missing! But she never sucked fingers/thumb. So that was a plus.
