My Princess has always dreamed of living in Paris, and has always wanted to learn French to aid her in this pursuit. Marc has also recently decided that his brain may be turning to mush and is wanting book recommendations from me as well as to learn a new language.
SO we decided that we would get the Rosetta Stone (version 3) French. We did get the homeschool one as it seemed like it was the same just with extra homeschool-y stuff added in.
So far the Princess and I have tried it out, and it is not easy (but I did do pretty well!). It seems like a pretty solid thing so far in how it teaches... I've actually got alot of the words stuck in my head....
It comes with headphones and a microphone... you hear the text, and then using a voice recognition set specifically for each individual using it you can repeat the words back....
If nothing else, the Princess is just glad that it's a break from Latin! (Little does she know that it's in addition to, not instead of...) |

We have Rosetta Stone Hebrew & we have a dehydrator. They are both way cool. We are drying apples like mad & I dried chives & peppermint :)
See, you really are a homesteader at heart :)
