It has only been 6 full days since our caterpillars arrived, and they have grown from tiny little inch worm looking things to these huge fat caterpillars. They are making their way to the tops of their nursery getting ready for the next stage in their life cycle.
Take a look at these beauties!
Here they are under the lid!
The kids are hard at work on their butterfly life cycle illustration. They are taking a 1/4 sheet of posterboard and using colored paper to create the 4 stages of the butterfly's life cycle. At the end of the project, they will have to present their projects with an oral essay on it. They really enjoy this project.
Another update I wanted to give was how much fun it was to watch the hermit crab's activity today. My husband got a kick out of seeing the "Shell Swap". He had never witnessed this before, and it is truly a unique experience. Between these two studies, the kid's are learning so much and it is very rewarding.
This week's TT will be interesting- so check back for that!
